Raamaas decision regarding Vibheeshana

Raama started disclosing his views about Vibheeshana.Whatever flaws one might have,if any one comes to me to be rescued,I would not deny him.Elders also are of the same opinion.Sugreeva intervened and told Raama.Hey Lord!why should we care whether Vibheeshana is cruel or good natured.A person who decieved his own brother can ditch any other person,when in need.Raama turned towards Lakshmana and praised Sugreeva for right perception of the situation.Only a well versed person only can speak like that.But there is a little twist and worldly wise ness here.When a king is in difficulties,his family members and enemies ,wait for the right oppurtunity and cause harm to him.As per that rule only,Vibheeshana has come to us.There is valid reason behind the fact that we should not allow a person from enemy camp into our camp.But Vibheeshana is not of our clan.He has desire to own the throne.Close relations can never live together.They hate one another and are destined enemies.This Vibheeshana is afraid of Raavana and came to us.Lakshmanaa!brothers in this world are not like Bharatha.Sons in this world are not like me.Gopd natured people are all not like you. Sugreeva heard these words of Raama ,saluted him and said.Lord!Vibheeshana wants to join here by knack,and kill you,Lakshmana,me and other vaanara warriors,on Raavanaas directions.Vibheeshana is Raavanaas brother.We should never forget that fact.Raama putforth his reasoning.Sugreeva!let him be good or bad.He can not harm me.If I decide,I would put an end to all the demons,yakshaas,daanavaas,pisaachaas with the tip of me toe.We all have heard of the this story.A pigeon has its enemy,who killed his wife,when it pleaded him to be resued.When a simple bird can help even an enemy,how can I stay away from helping Vibheeshana when he comes to me for help?Earlier,Kandu maharshi told that even when an enemy comes to you for protection,you should not kill him.We have to save him even by giving our life itself.If we do not like that,all the bliss ie punyam would be lost.Even the world would despise us of our act.We are liable to many sins if we do not help such a person.As Kandu mahaamuni told I will protect him who comes to me with a plea to save him.So,Sugreeva!I gave my word to Vibheeshana.So,go to him and bring him to me.I do not care whether he Vibheeshana or Raavana himself.Do not come back with doubts. Sugreeva started praising Raama.Hey lord!you are the master of the universe.You are righteous.You never waver from righteous path while doing good to the people.There is nothing surprising hearing you talking like this.Hey lord!I feel that Vibheeshana is clean hearted.I will go now immediately and bring him here.May he become one among us.Sugreeva brought Vibheeshana and his four aides.Vibheeshana and his aides touched Raamaas feet with reverence. Vibheeshana started introducing himself to Raama.Hey lord Raama!I am younger brother of Raavana.I have been humilated and ill treated by Raavana.So,I came here to you.I left Lanka,my friends,my family and wealth and came to you for protection.My kingdom,my life and my entire happiness lies in your hands now. Raama pacified him and looked at him with kindness.Vibheeshana became one among them.

Vaanaraas express their views

Sree raama heard Sugreevaas words and looked at Hanumantha and other vaanara warriors and started talking to them.All of you heard what Sugreeva said.please put forth your arguments too in this regard.Vaanaraas told in single voice that Raama knew better than all of them put together.Because of his affection towards them,he is asking their views.Still they would put forth their opinion becuse he asked them. Angada started saying first.Because Vibheeshana came from the enemy camp,he should nit be blieved blindly.They wait for the right oppurtunity and harm us.We have to test his integrity and find out his faults.If his good character is more than his weaknesses,we can keep him in our camp.If his flaws are more,we should leave him. Sarabhudu stood up and told that they have to send a secret agent to Vibheeshana,learn the actual facts and then come to a concrete decision. Jambavantha expressed his views.Hey Lord Raamaa!this Vibheeshana has come from Raavanaas camp,This is neither the right time nor the right place for him to come.Either way his arrival at this time brings doubt in our hearts. Maindudu came out with his advise.One of our agents should go to Vibheeshana.He has to talk to him softly and enquire about Raavana.We have to hear Vibheeshanaas reply,assess it.We have to decide what is right and what is wrong and do what is appropriate.Some other vaanaraas also stood up and expressed their views. Hanumantha started talking in his adorable voice.Hey lord Raama!you are the most intellingent prsent her.You are efficient.You are efficient with your speech.Even Bruhaspathi can not cross you in making meaningful discussions.I am not talking now to expose my talent in reasoning,or out of spiteor that I greater than many here.I am not even ineterested in talking now,at this point.Out of respect towards you,I am coming out with my ideas.I fealthere is something wrong in saying that after assessingVibheeshanaas character only,we have to take him in or shun him out.We can not assess his character unless we give him some work.If he has no character,damage would be done to us if we take him on our sid.once harm is done,what can we do!,but to repent. Some others have told that we should send secret agents and learn the truth.This is also not correct.If the person is afar,there is meaning if we send a secret agent.When the person is right in front of our eyes,where is the need for appointing an agent rise?some of you said that he should not have to this place at this time.In this respect,I want to say few words.Vibheeshana rightly assessed Raavanaas cruel nature and your valor and then only came here,to you.I strongly that this the right moment for him to approach you. The reasoning that secret agents should go to him,talk about Raavana and by assessing his way of replying ,assessing his nature,pros and cons ,is also not right.Because if go to a person and enquire about athing,he might get so many doubts.Even a person with good intentions may also become a foe.Just because we question,we can not be sure the other person has revealed his mind.It is not an easy task to learn about things which are imbedded deep in your mind.I do not see any fault in Vibheeshanaas words.His face is clear.A person with bad intentions can not come here without any fear.In spite of trying not to expose to others,human beings can not completely wipe out their nature,feeling and attitude completely out of their faces.Hey Lord Raama!a deed should be done at the appropriate time for it to be succesful.Vubheeshana. Did such an act now.He correctly assessed that Raavana is cruel and you are determined to put an end to Raavana.He came to know that you have killed Vaali and made Sugreeva,the king of vaanaraas.He is aspiring to become king of Lanka,with your help.So,there is nothing wrong if we accept him into our camp.Hey lord!I expressed my views.decision is yours.

Vibheeshana leaves the assembly

After hearing Raavanaas harsh and humiliating reply,Vibheeshana stood up along with four of his aides and addressed Raavana.Hey Raavana!you are my elder brother.You are my lord.You are like my father .I will not be offended even if you scold me.But the fact is that you are not walking in the right path.You put aside my good advise and scolded me before the entire assembly.You are not giving importance to my words because your end is nearing. There will be always people around us who sweet talk to us.It is hard to acquire those who can give you good advise.It is still more harder to see those who accept good advise by well wishers. I do not want to see you get burnt by Raamaas arrows.That is why I am worried.I told you so many times because you are my brother.Please forgive me!Protect yourself,your people and your city.I am going away.You can be happy without my nagging presence here afterwards. Saying these words Vibheeshana flew over the sky,along with his aides,and reached the place where Raama,Lakshmana and the vaanara army was waiting.He stood in the sky and the vaanaraas saw him.Sugreeva told Hanumantha that this demon had come to kill Raama and Lakshmana.hearing this comment from Sugreeva,vaanaraas took trees and boulders and came upon Vibheeshana.Seeing their attitude towards him,Vibheeshana spoke to them. Hey vaanaraas!I am Raavanaas brother.My name is Vibheeshana.Raavana has kidnapped Seetha and she is in demons captivity.I requested my brother many a time to release her,but to no avail.Instead of considering my words,he paid deaf ear to my advise and humiliated me in the midst of entire assembly.He sent me away.I left my entire family there and came here for protection.Please tell Raama that I need his help and assistance. Sugreeva went to Raama and started telling about Vibheeshana. Hey lord Raama!Raavanaas brother,Vibheeshana,came here with four of his aides.He is asking for protection.please think about all the pros and cons before saying yes to him.Demons can change their form as they wish.They are cruel.They are cunning.We should not believe them.May be Vibheeshana is Raavanaas secret agent.He might make us believe him and bring differences between us.He may even kill us after waiting for appropriate time.We can accept friends and army by paying money.But we should never accept enemys help.This Vibheeshana is our enemy,Raavanaas brother.He came from the enemy camp.We should not believe him.Waiting for correct moment,he might kill us like an owl which eats crows entering their nest.So,it would be right for us kill Vibheeshana and his four aides.

Raavana accuses Vibheeshana

Indrajith rose and started belittling Vibheeshana.Hey uncle!you are gripped with some sort of fear.There is no such coward in our entire dynasty.Any demon in our army can killRaama and Lakshmana easily.You can keep quiet and let us do what we want to do.In addition to being afraid yourself,you are trying to put fear in our hearts.I defeated even Indra.Can Raama,a mere mortal,stand before me? Vibheeshana said.Indrajith!you are a small boy.You have no maturity of mind.You are talking what ever comes to you without thinking of the consequences.It seems you are your fathers utmost enemy.So,you should be punished.Not only yourself,those who allowed you to enter into this hall,without thinking,are also punishable.You do not know the effect of Raamaas arrow.There is no one who can withstand Raamaas arrows and survive. Then Vibheeshana turned towards Raavana and said.hey lord!please pay attention to my words.You decorate Seetha with fine muslin and silk sarees,golden ornaments and diamonds and hand over her to Raama.Then we can live happily ever after. Raavana lost his temper and humiliated Vibheeshana in this fashion.Vibheeshana!we can live side by side with a wild animal or poisonous serpant. but we should never live with a person who is your actual enemy but in the garb of a true friend.I know how well wishers would be ,very well.If our people are sad,ungratefuleople would feel happy.They make fun of great scholars and great people of their relations.They reject valiant people.But they appear to be good human beings.But they would be planning our failure within themselves.They always try to create fear in us. Do you know what elephants said seeing the men who came to capture them?We are not afraid of fire.We are not afraid of weapons.Those elephants,which tell their masters techniques to catch us are really dangerous.We should be afraid of them.There is no doubt about it.Vibheeshanaa!of all the fears,fear of our relations is the most.Just as we are tempted towards wealth,Fear of Brahmins anger,lust towards woman,fear regarding our family people is also natural.Because of that reason only,though I am worshipped and respected by one and all,you are making me feel ashamed.Just like water drops can never stick on to lotus leaf,inspite of being continuously in contact with the leaf,friendship with a bad person would never materialise.Just as a beetle forgets flower whose nectar it sipped and moves on,you are accusing me even though you are enjoying all the benefits and luxuries here with me.You are forgetting the friendship between us and speaking like this.Clouds in autumn appear,roar but never rain.Similarly you act as if you are a friend but in times of need,you are of no use to me. Vibheeshana! If some other person has said the words you spoke just now,I would have killed him by now.You are a black mole of the family.Get lost and get away from here.

Raavana reveals his curse given by Brahma

Mahaapaarsvudu started uplifting Raavanaas morale.Hey Lord!would there be any one who does not drink the nectar he brings from the forest risking his life from snakes and wild animals?You are the God for all of us.You do not have anyone above you.Where does the question of Seetha accepting your offer arise?You own her by force!We will think about any problems that may arise because of it later.Weak people are telling you to give back Seetha to Raama.You need not heed their words or give importance to their advise.Punishing is the best method for the present from among saama,daana,bheda dandopaayamulu. Then Raavana came out with the truth.Mahaapaarsvudaa!I am having a secret.It happened many years back.An Apsarasa by name,Punjikasdhala,was going to Brahma.I stopped her in the middle and possessed her by force.Brahma realised what happened and cursed me. He cursed me that if at all I use force to possess a woman in future,my head will split into hundred pieces.There is no doubt about it.Because of that curse only,I am afraid to possess Seetha by force.It seems that Raama does not know about my valor.That is the reason he is coming to wage a war against us.Let him come.I will definitely kill him. Vibheeshana intervened.Hey Lord!Seetha is five headed snake.We do not want her at any cost.Hand over Seetha to Raama before vaanara armies reach Lanka.Please give back Seetha to Raama before Raamaas arrows put an end to entire demon dynasty.Vibheeshana turned towards Prahasthudu and addressed him.Pranasthudaa!it seems you have not tasted Raamaas arrow till now.That is the reason why you are talking like this.Kumbhakarna,Indrajith,Raavana or for that matter,any person can not stand before Raama in the battle field.Even if you hide yourself in Paathaalam(deep down in the earth),or sit in Yamaas lap,you can not eascape Raamaas arrows.It is sure to kill you. Prahasthudu did not take Vibheeshanaas words seriously.He laughed at him.Vibheeshana!stop this kind of blabbering!We need not fear deities or demons or from any other quartes.What can a simple prince Raama do to us? Vibheeshana is still trying to make Peahasthudu see reason in his words.Prahasthudaa!Raama os a righteous man.So it is impossible to defeat Raama.All of you are enemies to Raavana in the guise of friendship.Raamas enemity is like thousand headed serpant which has bound Raavana.If you are really kings well wishers,see that Raavana is free of that serpant.Release him from Raamaas grip.Real and good friends are those,who turn their king into right direction even by force,whenever he goes astray from the correct path.I have assessed all the facts and factors and I am telling you my mind.It is better to hand over Seetha to Raama.It will do good to both the king and the kingdom.Good ministers are those who assess the strength and weakness of both the parties and advise the king appropriately.

Kumbhakarna admonishes Raavana

Raavana directed his aides to go into the city and bring all the demons to the assembly fast.They went and brought everyone in the city.They were coming by chariots,Horses,elephants and by walk.They enetered assembly hall.They saluted their king and sat in their respective seats.Vibheeshana also came to the assembly.Raavana welcomed him and made him sit on the golden chair.Assembly hall was full and everyone was eagerly looking at Raavana for his forthcoming speech. Prahasthudu,army chief,was being cautioned by Raavana.Army chief!It is necessary to tighten the security of the city.Employ able warriors to that task.Prahasthudu made great warriors to stand inside and outside the assembly hall.He arranged army for security of the city and returned.He made all the appropriate arrangements as per the wishes of Raavana and explained him about them.He told Raavana that he made all the arrangements for security of the city and assembly hall and Raavana could start his proceedings without any fear or tension. Raavana started the meeting.Ministers and the general public!If we face problems in discharging our duties and in times of emergency and while facing problems,it isnatural to tell them to our near and dear.You are all efficient in assessing happiness or sorrow,wanted or unwanted,loss or gain and right or wrong.earlier,what all the issues I discussed with you and put into action were fruitful.About the problem of today,I discussed few days back also.At that time,Kumbhakarna was asleep.But today,he also arrived to the assembly.So,I could not discuss this issue with him earlier. You all,very well know that I brought Seetha from Dandakaaranyam.In the entire universe,there is no such beauty as Seetha.I am mad in her love and I desperate to have her as my queen.But till now,she has nit accepted me.I am frustrated waiting for her love and affection.Seetha requested me to give her one year time waiting for her husband.In reality,Seetha did not request him to give her one year time.Raavana ,himself gave her the time because he wanted her to come to him willingly.He was ashamed to tell the aftual fact to his people.So,he is telling lies.Telling is nothing for him.He is saying that he accepted her request.I am tired of waiting for her.I am confident that Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva can not cross the sea along with their armies.Even then,we should not dorget the fact that Hanumantha crossed the sea,saw Seetha and damaged our city and our ego.We can not assess the future and what is going to happen the next moment.You think well and advise me properly.I defeated deities and demons with your help.I am not afraid of these silly human beings.You think collectively and tell me your opinion. Raama,Lakshmana,Sugreeva and the army are stationed near the sea shore.Time has come for us to think about it seriously and start operation.I want a plan where in I need not lose Seetha,but put an end to Raama,Lakshmana,Sugreeva and the army.In whatever ways I think,I am sure that Raama,Lakshmana can not cross the sea.definitely,victory would be ours. Raavana is not calm and composed.He is not talking precisely.He is tensed up.Raavana and all the demons are not unaware of the actions of Hanumantha.Hanumantha achieved half the victory by making demons afraid of him and making them restless. Kumbhakarna stood up and replied Raavana in harsh and angry tone.Hey king!you should have thought about these things earlier itself.You did not take us into consideration while kidnapping Seetha.If you had thought of these consequences,you would not have worried now.A man who does things to be done first later and those things to be done in the beginning,is not an intelligent man who can assess right and wrong.You did not discuss or tell us before doing these things and put yourself into problems.If Raama has not yet killed,it os purely our luck and nothing more. Even then,do not fear.I would kill the enemy and make you happy.I will kill Raama and Lakshmana and drink their blood.I would eat the vaanaraas.Be fearless.If I kill Raama,Seetha would automatically be yours. Raavana became angry hearing Kumbhakarnas dialogues.

Raavana favors war with Raama

Vibheeshana still wanted to make Raavana see reason.So,he went to Raavanaas building next day morning.Raavana was sitting in his royal throne.Only few ministers were present.Vibheeshana saluted his brother and started pleading again.Brother!From the day Seetha has entered Lanka,only bad premonitions we are facing.Snakes are found moving in the houses and places where vedaaadhyayanam is done.Ants are collecting around havissu,items kept to be used in homam.Elephants and horses are dull and inactive.Crows are crying in huge groups.Vultures are coming in groups and staying on roof tops of all houses.Dogs and foxes are making thunder like sound continuously.Like this,we are seeing so many bad omens.We can overcome these difficulties if we release Seetha. Hey brother! Every body in the city knows about these bad omens and premonitions.Even people in the royal palace know about these things.But your ministers are not telling you about these things.I am telling all these things to you because I feel strongly that it is my moral responsibility to inform you.Do not treat it as wrong doing on my part.Think of what I told in relaxed manner.You do what you feel is right. Raavana did not like Vibheeshanaas words.He got angry and started abusing Vibheeshana.Vibheeshana!why are talking these pale. And useless words?Can Raama withstand my valor even he comes along with Indra?Can he take back Seetha who is in my captivity?Do you think I would hand over Seetha to Raama out of fear?I am not afraid of anyone in this world.You can take leave now! Vibheeshana turned and went away.He failed in his attempts and he was sorry for his brother.Raavana was dissipating due to lust,fruits of his sins and friends distancing themselves.He was turbulant.Everyone is distancing from him.His brain lost its sharpness.All the time he is thinking of war.He realised that time has come for him to declare war.So,he alighted his chariot and came to the royal assembly.Every one in the assembly saluted him.He enetered the hall and sat on the throne.

Vibheeshana tries to reason

Vibheeshana intervened and put forth His line of thought.Hey Lord!there are four ways..saama,daana,bheda,dandopaayamulu in solving an issue.We can solve an issue by dialogus,by luring with money or benefits,creating differences or by punishing.If saama,daana,bhedopaayamulu do not become effective,then we can think of punishing.This is not the time for punishing.Another thing is that punishing is not effective at all times.If we use it when the enemy is not alert,those who are under captivity or towards those whom God does not side,it will be effective.Raama does not come under those categories.He is a.ert.He iswell equipped to wage war against us.God prefers him and sides with him.Think once again how Hanumantha could enter Lanka and cause so much devastation.It is not easy to defeta Raama. He turned towards ministers and army chiefs and chided them.Hey demons!It is wrong to talk about enemy without coming to correct assessment of his strength.Do you not feel it is wrong on the part of Raavana to kidnap Raamaas wife ,because he killed many of our demons in their own place,ie janasdhaanam.The fault lies with our people which ended in death of so many demons but not Raamaas.Kharudu went to war with Raama in the first instant.In self defence,Raama fought and killed Kharudu and other demons.In this universe,every living being has right to protect itself.It is natural instinct.That too,lusting for another mans wife is a sin.Because of it,we will be defamed besides losing wealth and life.We would end up as sinners. We might have to face great tragedy because of Seetha.If we release Seetha,there will be no enemity.It is not safe to prolong enemity with Raama.It is better to hand over Seetha to such a good natured and great man.If we do not give Seetha to Raama,our city and every one of us are going to turn into ashes.Hey lord! i am requesting you.Please heed my words.Before Raamaas arrows kill all of us,hand over Seetha to Raama.Disown your anger which is the root cause of loss of happiness and righteousness.Move on the right path and increase our name and fame.Think cool and see that we are all happy with our families.Please hear my pleas and release Seetha. Raavana left the assembly after hearing Vibheeshanas words.It seems Raavanaas introductory speech was an utter waste.Because each gave their opinion and here was no concurrence of ideas.what can Raavana do better than leaving the assembly in silence?

Army chiefs and ministers encourage Raavana

Army chief,Prahasthudu stood up and answered.Hey lord!Deities,demons and Gandharvaas can not stand before you in war.Can vaanaraas stand before you?When Hanumantha came,we were not alert.That was why we suffered loss.Otherwise,can he leave this place alive?mistake has taken place.Now we will protect this with much more alertness.We need not fear vaanaraas.If you permit me,I will put an end to the entire vaanara dynasty in this world. Durmukhudu boasted that Hanumantha put Raavana to shame.It is not an excusable crime. He would go immediately and kill all the vaanaraas. Vajradanshtrudu talked like this.Hanumantha is a cheap vanara.Why should we care him?I will kill Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva.I can extinguish the entire vaanara army.Hey Lord!I have a suggestion.If you like it,you hear it and let us put into action.Let many of us take up the form of humans and go to Raama.We would tell him without hitchhiking that we have been sent by Bharatha.Actual army is coming behind along with Bharatha.We would enter their army and kill all the baanaraas.With that,Raama would be disappointed and would die of desperation. Nikumbhudu,son of Kumbhakarna,got angry with these words.He addressed Raavana.Hey Lord!why do you waste time with unnecessary talk.It is a pure waste of time.All of you,stay here.I will go alone and kill Raama,Lakshmana,Sugreeva ,Hanumantha and the entire vaanara army and come back.Vajra hanumdu also claimed that let all be cool and composed.He would go and squash the entire enemy strength.In the mean time,some of the demon warriors took their weapons and started to go and kill vaanaraas.

Raavanaas assembly

Raavana was ashamed thinking of what a meagre vaanara did to him and his people.He downed his head and started talking to his ministers and aides in the royal assembly.Just a simple and single vaanara ahs entered this Lanka and saw Seetha.He killed many of our men.He burnt our city.We have to think of a plan to set this right. Discussion is the main reason behind success.so,all of you think well and advise me accordingly.There are three types of people ,Uththamulu,madhyamulu and adhamulu in this world.Aerson who discusses things with his friends,ministers and well wishers and decide right and wrong and then start action and lay their entire belief in God is called Uththama.A person who does not believe in anyone but believes in God completely and starts his plan action,is called Madhyama.A person who never does both but plunges into action out right but never completes to the end is called Adhamudu. Similarly,thinking is also of three categories.all ministers thinking alike and telling their opinion is Uththamam.Though at first every one has different opinion ,but to the end they converge to a single thought and plan of action in Madhyamam.I f the different kinds of opinions expressed are never settled even to the end are called Adhamam. Hey ministers! Think well and advise me correctly and tell me what I should do now.Raama is coming with his vaanara sainyam,army towards Lanka.I am sure he would definitely cross the sea along with his army.He can even dry up the sea to come here or by any other means.We are forced to go for war.Think well and tell as what is best for our city,our army and for ourselves. Ministers started pacifying Raavana.Hey lord!why are you sad?Our strength is not ordinary.Your valor is not limited.You defeated Bhogapathi of Paathaalam.You defeated Kubera and brought his Pushpaka vimaanam.Daanavendra Mayudu was afraid of your strength and married his daughter,Mandodari,to you.You waged war against Naagendras on Rasaathalam.You took Kaalakeyulu under your grip and learnt many mesmerisms.You defeated even Yama.Like this you killed and defeated many great warriors.Raama is not greated than these people.Why do you get tensed?Indrajith is enough to put an end to them.Indrajitha bound Indra and brought him to Lanka.It will not be difficult for him to kill Raama and Vaanaraas.Do not think of a small monkey which caused trouble he.You can definitely kill Raama.

Raama saddened

Raama addressed Sugreeva looking at the sea.Sugreeva!we have reached the sea shore. but we are unable to find the other end of thesea.We have to think of a good plan to cross the sea.We would stay here for the present.Later,we. Would think of crossing the sea.Tell the army to settle here for the present.none should leave and go anywhere.Efficient and able vaanaraas should check the surrounding for any enemies and be alert all the time.Sugreeva acted accordingly and the noise that arose while they were settling submerged the sound of sea waves.Vaanaraas looked at sea and were worried as how to cross it. Surf that arose from the waves of the sea looked as if sea was smiling.Waves lapping on the shore appeared as if sea was dancing.So many reflections of moon appeared on the waves of the sea.There were many crocodiles,snakes and many vicious animals in the sea.Diamonds on the snakes were glittering in the moon light.Mountains were submerged in the sea.Everything was filled with water and full of water.Other end of the sea did not appear.They could see no way to cross the sea.Sea was so deep that vaanaraas were worried about crossing it. Sea was vast like the sky.Diamonds in thesky were glittering and shining like stars in the sky.Waves were like clouds.roaring of the waves was like roaring of clouds.When waves were standing up and making huge noise,it was if sea was angry and was talking in high pitch.Vaanaraas were afraid to look at the sea. Neeludu,army chief,made vaanaraas rst as per the rules of the war tactics. Great scholars who made vaanaraas the army of Raama were very intelligent.There are many factors that justify this statement.Teeth and nails are their only weapons.Fruits and vegetables are their main food.There is no need to clear the way for their passage.There is no need make roads for transportation.There is no need for vehicles to transport them to destiny.No one has any difficulty with them or maintaining them,finance wise.Raamas preparation for war was easy because he had secured vaanaraas as his army.Otherwise how could he acquire all the things and finance? He had no money with him.What can he do,when he himself is sustaining by eating fruits and tubers?If in present days,how much finance is required to move the army and weapons to the war site,constructing roads,food,weapons and artillery and many other departments are to be maintained?There would be no end to the expenses to be incurred.With least difficulty,SreeRaama could secure such a great and vast army full of valiant warriors. Entire army rested on the sea shore.SreeRaamas mind thought ofSeethaand he was frustrated in her absence.He is talking to Lakshmana.Lakshmana!people say that as time passes by,our sorrow diminishes.But my sorrow is multiplying as the time for seeing Seetha is increasing day by day.I am not worried that Seetha is far away or Raavana has kidnapped her.I am worried more about the fact that she may not be young for too long. Raama is addressing Vaayudeva.Hey Vaayudeva!please go to my Seetha and touch her and come back to me and touch me too.I would feel happy that she has touched me.I wish moon would combine our looks together because he is shining he and ther too.Because if both of them look at the moon,their looks would meet at him. My heart is gripped with unhappiness by hearing the words,Haa naadhaa!,when she was being dragged by Raavana manually.Cupid is making me restless and I can not live without meeting Seetha.I am burning with frustration.Lakshmana!I will drown into the sea.May be it would diffuse by then.I am alive only because I know that Seetha is also alive on this earth.When do I kill Raavana and secure Seetha?Even though I ,her husband,is alive,Seetha is suffering like a destitute among the cruel demons.She would have become weak with sorrow and fasting.When would she embrace me and shed tears of joy for coming to me. Lakshmana consoled his brother.It was sun set and they performed Sandhya and took rest.

Raama starts towards Lanka with vaanara army

Raama could assess Lankas positioning,its plan and its strength and weakness correctly.He told Hanumantha that they can smash the city in no time.He addressed Sugreeva.Sugreeva!this is an auspicious muhoortham,Abhijanmuhoortham.Sun is in the centre of the sky.Todays star is UththaraPhalgunee.It is saadhana thaara for me ie good for me.Tomorrow is Hastha.It is not congenial to me or good for me.So,will start now itself.I can feel good signs.I can definitely assassinate Raavana and bring back Seetha.Just as a poisoned man comes to life after being touched by amrutha hastham,Seetha would have hope to live when she hears that I have started my journey towards Lanka. He started giving orders.Let Neeludu be accompanied by some good warriors and walk in front showing the way for others to follow.Hey Neela!you take us through cool forests,where sufficient drinking water is available.Demons are sure to damage and destroy water bodies and fruits along the way.So,be alert.Enemy camps may be waiting for us on our way.So,walk observing all the signs and intricacies.Keep weaker section in the back and valiant soldiers in the front.Keep Gajudu,Gavayudu,and Gavakshudu in front of the army,Rushabhudu to right side,Gandhamaadanudu to the left of the army while walking.Lakshmana would sit on Angada and I would sit on Hanumantha.Jaambavanthudu,Sushenudu and Vegadarsi would walk behind the army and protect from there.Sugreeva was happy hearing Raamas directions.Sugreeva ordered his army to act accordingly and army moved.All vaanaraas were happy.They were jumping,dancing,eating fruits from the trees and drinking honey and were on the move.Sugreeva,Raama and Lakshmana were positioned in the centre of the army.As per Raamaas directions army did not go near cities and villages but only through the forest.Vaanara army was vast like a sea and it moved with hair raising noise.Sree Raama sat on Hanumantha and Lakshmana sat on Angada. Lakshmana was happy with the fast moving developments. He told Raama like this.Brother Raama!Very soon you are going to go To ayodhya along with Seetha.I am able to find good signals in the sky and on the land.Our Ikshvaaku dynasty star,Visaakha is shining bright.Demons star,Moola is dull due to Dhoomakethu sparsa.So,we should be happy.There is no doubt that we are going to win. Entire army is happy.Nails and teeth are their weapons.Army covered entire Earth while moving.They crossed rivers,mountains and forests and proceded still further.They were moving along singing happily,dancing,bouncing,shouting all through day and night without tiring.On their way they used to eat fruits from trees and were drinking honey and reached Sahya parvatham and neared Malaya parvatham ie Malaya montain.Like this,they reached Mahendra parvatham at last.Sree Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva climbed the mountain and saw the sea from there mountain top.Then they came near the sea shore.

Hanumantha explains about Lankas forts

Raama stepped into action.He is telling Hanumantha.I would construct a bridge to cross the sea,by drying the sea,or by penance.Anyhow we can see that vaanaraas cross the sea.We need not worry about it.Hanumantha! You have seen Lanka.tell me in detail about its doors,forts,how they are made,the strength of their army and other crucial details.Hanumantha could reply him satisfactorily just because he could observe all those things. He started.Hey Raamaprabhu!I will tell you every thing about planning of forts,how the city is protected,Raavanaas valor,their army strength,crucial factors about the sea and other important details.City of Lanka is very wide and vast.people are very happy and conteneted.The city is protected by all the four important forces.He has huge army.It is not an easy task for the enemy to enter the city.City has four doors on all the four sides.They are very strong.Near the main entrances,there are instruments which can release arrows and rocks on the enemy,if needed.The doors have iron sathaghnulu ie Torpedos fixed to them.Outer wall of the city is made of gold.It is very difficult to cross them.There are agadthalu ie deep furrows made in the ground so that one cam not cross and reach the other side ie trenches all around the fort.Near all the four main entrances,there are machines.If anyone wants to come out,wooden planks are descended so that people can cross the trenches.Soon after that,wooden planks are lifted up.When enemies attack them,these planks are taken away so that they can not cross the trenches and enter into the city.Raavana will be surveying his army every day.City of Lanka is situated on a hill top in the middle of the sea.Even deities can not reach it.There are four types of forts.They are water forts,mountain forts,forest forts and artificial forts to protect the city.Lanka is very far from here and on the other side of the sea.You can not even reach it by ship.It is not an easy task to either reach Lanka or defeat it.Raavanaas army is protecting the city from all the four entrances and in the crucial places even with in the city.I broke the wooden planks which they use to cross the trenches.I filled the trenches so that we can have easy access into the city.I broke the outer walls.I burnt the city.I killed some of its army.I put an end to some of its great warriors.If we can make a plan to cross the sea,think that Lanka is dead.We do not even need the army.Angadudu,Dvividudu,Maindudu,Jaambavanthudu,Panasudu and Neeludu are enough.They are efficient to root out Lanka and bring it here.Hey lord!fix a good and auspicious muhoortham or time and move our army.

Yuddha kaandamu....Raama praises Hanumantha

Raama expressed his happiness hearing Hanumanthas words.He exclaimed.Hanumantha had achieved a great task.No one in this entire world could have completed it.Can anyone cross the sea?Only Garuthmantha,Vaayudeva and Hanumantha alone can cross it.Can any one come back alive after entering Raavanaas empire?No one can dream of stepping into it?We can express the magnitude of his talent in words.Hanumantha did not stick to Sugreeva had told himto accomplish.He showed his strength and valor to the demons.He behaved like a great ambassador.He brought me the happiest news.I am sorry that I am unable to express my gratitude in a just way.I can only hug him and gpfeel that I have given everything I wanted to give him.Saying so Raama hugged Hanumantha in earnest.Making sure that Sugreeva is hearing his words,Raama turned towards Hanumantha and started saying. Hanumanthaa!you crossed the sea and came back after seeing Seetha.I am sad thinking of the sea.How can these vaanaraas reach ther.We have to think of a plan to reach there.Seeing Raama in distressed mood again,Sugreeva started placating him.Hey lord!does it become you feel sad like a common man?discard this sorrow as an ungrateful person discards true friendship.Is there any reason for your sorrow?Now,we know about Seetha.We know where our enemy resides.You are intelligent.You are a great scholar.Wipe off your sorrow.We will cross the sea,take over Lanka and put an end to your enemy.Be positive and happy.Can we succeed if we are sorry and lose our hope?All these vaanara warriors are ready to jump in to fire also.We will form a bridge to cross the sea.think about how we should make the bridge.Without constructing bridge over the sea,even deities can not acquire Lanka.If we can construct a bridge to Lanka,victory is ours.We can bring back Lanka along with Raavana.Hold up your self.If you stand with your bow and arrows,no one can dare to stand before you. Sorrow is the root cause of all failures.So,discard this pessimism and sorrow.Royal person should never be weak,desperate and dull.He should be ferocious and valiant.Otherwise,no one would care him.Think of a way to cross the sea.We are sure to win.Why all this meaning less talk?I can feel and see some good indices that everything is going to be fine.My mind is full of happiness.We are bound to win at any cost.

Hanumantha makes Raama happy

In the mean time,Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva heard pleasant gibberish outside.All vaanaraas came and stood beqfore them.Hanumantha saluted Raama and told him that pure and pious Seetha was safe.To vaanaraas,Hanumantha said simply that he found Seetha.But he knew that Raama would not be satisfied with that answer. he would like to know whether she was safe from Raavvana without losing her self respect and dignity.all of them felt happy to hear that news.Then Raama questioned as to where she was and what she was thinking about him.Everyone encouraged Hanumantha to explain everything in detail.Hanumantha turned towards the direction where Seetha was and saluted her. He,then,tried to answer them.He told Raama how he crossed the immense sea,how he entered Lanka and how he found her.he was explaining like this.Hey lord! Hey Raama!Seetha is worrying a lot ,being in the captivity of Raavana and sitying among demos.She is not combing her hair.She is always sad and lying on the bare ground.She is thinking about you only all the time.Her concern towards you and her love towards you did not diminish even a single iota.I saw Seetha doing penance for you.She told me the incident which happened when you were on Chithra koota parvatham.Then Kaakaasurudu tried to irritate you and Seetha.She told me how you released Brahmaasthram and how it came to seek your forgiveness in the end.She gave me this Choodaamani.She also told me the incident when you corrected her thilakam with manisila,diamond stone. While giving Choodaamani to me,she told me these words to be relayed to you.naadhaa!I am in deep sorrow.I have been consoling myself by seeing this Choodaamani till now.Now,I am sending even that to you.I will not live long.I will bear this pain only a month since now.After that,I am sure to die.So,come fast and take me from here. Hey lord!Seetha is weak and on fasting.She is afraid.We have to save her fast.You have think of ways to cross this sea. Raama was looking at the ring Seetha has sent him again and again.He addressed Hanuma.Hanuma!At the time of our marriage,my mother in law has given this ring to Seetha.As soon as I saw,I am remembering my father,my father inlaw and Seetha.It is as if I am seeing them directly.Hanuma! I want to know what else she told me.I am thirsty to hear her news.you can lessen my anxiety by telling some more details about her.Hanumantha told that Seetha told him that she would be alive only for a month.but Raama is so desperate to see her that can not wait any longer. Raama is telling his brother,Lakshmana.Lakshmana!I have to see this ring without seeing Seetha.Will there be a greater sorrow than this?Now,we know where Seetha is.Please take me to her!What amount of worry,might she have been facing now? Hanuma!please tell me what else she told you.Hanuma told him the story of Kaakaasura again.Hey lord!hera the words of Seetha!Raama and Lakshmana are so valiant.But it seems they do not have any soft corner towards me.Otherwise they might have come long back to save me.What might be the reason behind this?May be I sinned and all my sins committed are taking their toll now.Then I told her not to worry a lot.In no time,all her problems are going to be solved amicably.There would not be any delay.To this Seetha replied like this.Hanuma!then return back to Raama soon.Tell them that I am safe.Tell Raama to save me from this sea of sorrow.Only Garuthmantha,Vaayudeva and you alone can cross the sea.Can Raama and Lakshmana too cross the sea?Then I replied that I would take her to you if can sit on my back.But she did nit agree to this proposal.She does not like you also to take me away from there stealthily.Raavana brought me here cunningly.I do not want Raama to be afraid of Raavana and take me out secretly.Such an act will not bring laurels to Raama.It would not be apt act for Raama.Raama should come here,assassinate Raavana,destroy Lanka and take me back.She repeated this wish many times. Then I convinced her that Sugreeva had huge army,in crores.All of them were more strong and efficient than me.No one has lesser capacity and valor than me.If I could come here,you can understand their power. For such trivial tasks like this,they would send people of low calibre only.Hey mother!do not worry!Vaanaraas can come her in a single jump.I can bring Raama and Lakshmana by seating them on my back.We will come soon and kill the demons and free you.After fulfilling the term of exile in forest,Raama will take you to Ayodhya and climb the throne.I told all these words and saw that she was happy.Then only I started my journey back to you.

Dadhimukhudu complains to Sugreeva

Sugreeva was with Raama and Lakshmana.Dadhimukhudu reached them and saluted them with pathetic face.Sugreeva lifted him and asked him to tell about his problem.He would surely solve it.Dadhimukhudu replied him.Hey king!Your father,yourself or Vaali never entered into our Madhuvanam till now.But now,vaanaraas have entered it and destroying it.When we tried to stop them,they beat us.they did many nasty things. Angada is their leader.Lakshmana was unable to understand what Dadhimukhudu was telling and asked Sugreeva as to what the matter was.Sugreeva replied him .Nothing has happened.It seems that Angada and other vaanara warriors have entered Madhuvanam.They have been destrotying the vanam and drinking all the honey there.They have gone in southern direction in search of Seetha.If they have not succeeded in their mission,they would. Not dare to so such a thing.So,they might have found out Where Seetha is,surely!Hanumantha would have done this act!Others can not do it.Hanumantha is intelligent.He has all the traits like interest,planning,strength and knowledge for completing a work.If a deed is done by Jaambavantha,Angada and Hanumantha,there is no question of failure or defeat.We are sure to win.Dadhimukhudu is weeping that Angada and other vaanara warriors are drinking honey and enjoying all the time.There is no doubt that they have found Seethas where abouts.Sree Raama was also hearing these words silently.They were so happy. how long had it been that they were really happy? We might feel that Hanumantha and others action was not appropriate.They should have come straight and told Raama the good news.But it is always better to prepare before disclosing any good news.Other wise something bad may happen,when one is not prepared mentally to receive a happy message.That was the reason behind Vaanaraas enjoing in the Madhuvanam and letting Raama and Lakshmana know that something good has turned up.Even here,Dadhimukhudu has explained physical and mental status of Vaanaraas.Lakshmana has enquired the reason and Raama was just a silent participant,hearing their conversation.Now,Raama is mentally prepared to hear and accept the good news in detail from Hanumantha.It is just too make those happy who have strained and put in their efforts in making the mission a grand success.Rama and Lakshmana were very happy hearing Sugreevas words. Sugreeva then turned towards Dadhimukhudu and told him.Hey uncle!Angada and other great warriors have fulfilled a great task.Even if they consume entire honey in Madhuvanam,it would only be on happy ocassion.It does not matter.Tell them to come fast.Raama,Lakshmana and myself are eager to hear the good news about Seethaas search.Dadhimukhudu returned to Madhuvanam fast and approached Angada and told him.Angada!excuse me!I did all this unintentionally.You are a prince.You can enjoy Madhuvanam as you wish.I put the entire blame on you and complained to Sugreeva.But he was happy hearing my words.He told me to tell you to come fast. Then Angada turned towards his people and enquired if they could leave the place. Even though he was aprince,he wanted to take their consent also.He would act according to their wish.Vaanaraas were happy hearing those words.They praised Angada that he was not high handed and arrogant.They were satisfied and they would return to Sugreeva.In the mean time,Sugreeva was trying to console Raama and lessen his anxiety.Everything is going to be fine.Already the time limit I had given the for searching Seetha is long past.Definitely they found out where Seetha is.Otherwise they would not dare to come and stand before me.

Vaanaraas enter Madhuvanam

Everyone was happy with Jaambavanthas decision.All left Mahendragiri.Every one waslooking at Hanumantha with respect and awe.They were practically carrying him with their looks.They were all happy.They reached Sugreevaas Madhuvanam.That garden was under the control of Dadhimukhudu,Sugreevaas maternal uncle.Vaanaraas requested Angada to allow them to eat fruits in that garden.Angada discussed the. Atter with elders like Jaambavantha and allowed them to eat the fruits in that vanam.All vaanaara happily drank honey,ate fruits,danced,sang and had much fun.Dadhimukhas men came and objected for vaanaaras destroying the garden.But Hanumantha told his friends to enjoy and he would look and tackle the men who opposed their enjoyment.Vaanaraas beat garden keepers and were drinking.Those men went and complained to Dadhimukhudu as to what was happening to the garden and in the garden.He was angry and took out a big tree along with its roots from the ground and came to attack the vaanaraas.Hanumantha ,Angada and others beat him.Then Dadhimukhudu told his men to stay there.He would go and complain the entire matter to Sugreeva and bring Raama Lakshmana and Sugreeva to see the damage.Vaanaraas drank all the wine in that vanam.He would put entire blame on Angada and see that he is punished.I have been saving this winery and wine since long time.Even deities can not enter it.Being so strictly protected till now,it is being damaged and destryed.Dadhimukhudu went to Sygreeva.

Hanumantha tells about his tail being burnt

Hanumantha continued telling his experiences.Demons put Seetha to much trouble.She was weeping nonstop.Then,Thrijata,an old demon told about het dream to her friends.She told them that she dreamt about Raavanaas death and Raamaas victory.I hid behind the branches and heard all these conversations.I decided that I should not return without talking to Seetha.So,I started praising Raama and Ikshwaaku dynasty. when she looked up the tree,I told her I was Raama dootha,Raamaas servant.I gave her the ting Raama gave me and requested her to sit on my back so that I can bring her back too.But she refused my offer and said that Raama would come and take her from there.I too acccepted her reasoning and took Choodaamani which she gave me to take it to Raama.Hanumantha did not give minute details of what happened because he felt they were too personal and should be told only to RAAMA.He just completed it by saying she told me some other things to be delivered to RAMA.Because of his discretion while speaking,Hanumantha is called vaakya kovidudu.Then,I saluted her and started to return back.Then Seetha pleaded with me to bring Raama fast because she was not going to live more than a month.I got angry about Raavana and destroyed Ashoka vanam.Raavanaasura deployed eighty thousand kinkaraas to attack me.I kiiled everone of them.I burnt chaithyapraasaadam which was in the vanam.Then Jambumaali,son of Prahastha attacked me.I killed him and his army.Then Raavana seven of his ministers sons,and five army chiefs.I killed them too.Hearin this news,Raavana sent his son,Akshudu to attack me.He is Mandodaris son.He was a very strong demon.I fought with him ferociously,wrung him above my head thousand times and thrashed him on to the ground and killed him.Raavana has another son ,named Indrajith.He has knowledge of many asthras and sasthras.We had a bitter and ghastly fight.Do you know what he did in the end?He sent Brahmaasthram against me.Like that they bound me and took me to Raavana.They questioned as to who I was and why I came.I replied them that I was a servant of Raama.I am Vaayuputhraas son.My name is Hanumantha.I am one of the ministers of Sugreeva,vaanara king.In your interest Sugreeva has sent you this message.There are no bounds to Raamas valor.He killed Vaali,with a single arrow.He presented vaanara kingdom to me as gesture of friendship.Your strength is not enough to battle with Raama.So,give Seetha respectfully to Raama and seek his forgiveness.Then only you can live happily.Otherwise you will be no more. Raavana got angry hearing these words.He commanded his chief to kill me.Then his brother,Vibheeshana,objected.He advised him that killing an ambassador is not justified as per any rules and regulations.If he wanted,he could punish the agent.Then Raavana yold them to tie cloths to my tail and burn it.Then demons tied cloths to my tail and burnt it. I disengaged from them and set fire to Lanka,instead.Later,I was worried that even Seetha might have succumbed to fire.Then ,again,I went to her and saw that she was safe.After wards I returned to you. Because of Raamas greatness,I could fulfill my responsibility succesfully till now. from now on wards,let all the elders sit yogether and decide.Raavana is not an ordinary soul.He should have been burnt to ashes as soon as he touched Seetha. if he is still alive,it is his power only.Then what is our next step?It would be better if we can take Seetha to Raama and Lakshmana.I,myself can easily kill Raavana and his relatives.With all your supprt nothing is impossible.There are great warriors like Jaambavantha,Angada,Panasusu,Neeludu,Maindudu,Dvividudu, and many others in our team.I completed half the work.I feel that it would be just to unite Seetha and Raama.You decide as what should be our next step.Angadudu also said that it would be a right step to take back Seetha to Raama,without any delay.But Jaambavantha,aged and experienced. Vaanara ,felt otherwise.We need not think. About next step.Let us explain all these facts to Raama and we would act according to his directions and wishes.

Hanumantha tells his experiences

Hanumantha saluted Seetha and started telling them.You all know that I leaped from Mahendragiri.While flying over the sea,I came across a huge mountain shooting up from the sea,I crushed it to thousand pieces with my tail.Then that mountain took human form and introduced as Mynaakudu.in esrlier times,my father helped him and protected its wings from Indras Vajraayudham and hid him under the sea.So,I felt love for you and wanted to help you.I wish you success in your actions as you are going to help Raama.I started again. But I was again stopped by Surasa,mother of serpants.It wanted to eat me.I requested her that she could eat me after I complete Raamas work and return back. but she did not oblige my wish.She opened her mouth very wide to gulp me.I increased my form to very huge size.Then suddenly I became very small,went into her mouth and returned so fast that she could not eat me. she was happy and wished me well on my journey.My troubles did not end there.While I was going someone was dragging my shadow and all my strength started depleting.Automatically,my speed decreased.When I searched as to the reason behind this,I found a demon in thesea.It opened kts mouth wide and tried to engulf me.I decreased my size remarkably,went into its mouth and broke its crucial place and killed it.I went on my journey.By evening,I reached the other side of Sea and saw Lanka.I entered the city without the knowledge of demons.But,citys deity,Lankini lounged at me .I defeated her andentered the city.I started searching for Seetha.I could not find her anywhere.I became saddened.After that,I searched in Ashoka vanam and found her there.She was sitting under a tree and she was desperate.She was thinking about her husband all the time.She was disgusted with her life and wanted to commit suicide.Groteque demons surrounded her and threatened her. By then,Raavanaasura came there.Seetha trembled with fear on seeing him.Raavana requested her in many ways to accept his love and become his queen.She became angry and replied him without any fear that he was a coward.He snatched her away.If he were to come before Raama,he was sure to be killed.Raavana lost his temper too on hearing her words and was about to beat her.Then Raavanaas wife,Mandodari,intervened and advised him to leave Seetha as she does not love him.Then Raavana turned towards Seetha and gave her ultimatum that she had only two months left to change her mind and become his wife.Otherwise he would kill her.She is fearless. She treated him like straw.

Hanumantha meets his friends

Hanumantha took leave of Seetha and climbed Arishta parvatham to return to main land.He increased his form to be able to fly in the sky and fue to his weight,Arishta parvatham crumbled.Vidyaadhara women,whocame there to enjoy and roam ran awaywith fera.While leaping intothe sky and flying over the sea Hanumantha looked like a big ship over the sea.On return he touched Mynaaka parvatham as a matter of respect and moved forward.On reaching Mahendra parvatham ie mountain he roared.Jaambavantha heard Hanumantha roaring.He called all his people and told them that Hanumantha has returned succesfully because a person who has failed in his mission can not roar like that.Every one was happy.Rhey all collected to give Hanumantha a warm welcome.Vaanaraas climbed trees and swung them as if telling Hanumantha to come soon.They all folded their hands.Everyone was Hanumantha that Hanumantha returned safely.So,they brought tubers and fruits for him to eat.Hanumantha saluted Aged Vaanaraas and Angada and told them that he saw Seetha (drushtaa Seetha). Hanumantha took Angadas hand and sat in a pleasant place.They enquired about each others welfare.All other vaanaraas were very happy.Some were bouncing and jumping.Some were making hilarious sounds.Some were wagging their tails.Some others were touching Hanumantha with love,affection and respect. Angada was sayimg,Hanumantha!what a splendid job you did!Is there an other warrior greated than you?Is it a small task to cross the sea and return succesfully?One can not assess your respect for your master and your strength!We ara all lucky that you could find Seetha.Raama would be happy to know about this information.All the vaanaraas brought big boulders and sat around Hanumantha eagerly awaiting the details he was going to tell them.Jaambavantha asked him.Hey son!tell us about your entire journey in detail.Where did you see Seetha?How is She?How did you complete your journey?What all did you see during uour journey?We all want to hear.Please do tell us.

Hanumantha takes leave from Seetha

While subduing the fire on his tail Hanumantha started thinking.What did I do?I forgot entirely about Seetha and put entire Lanka on fire!Anger makes everyone thought less.Anger does not see the difference between right and wrong!Whoever can disseminate anger and think cooly,he alone is worthy man.A man in anger does all types of sins.He kills his teachers.He would make derogatory remarks regading great people.He blabberes whatever comes to his mind.He fails to discreminate between just and just.He goes toant extremes in anger.Because of my foolishness,I have spoined my masters mission.Why did I come here? What did I end up doing?I almost did every thing right.I crossed the sea.I could find out Seetha.Next,U had to give this message to Raama.But because of my anger I spoiled everything.Entire city has been burnt to ashes.Can Seetha be still alive?I have no right to be alive. I shouldeither drown in the sea or murn alive.How can I bring Happiness to Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva by indulging in such acts?My monkey nature has come out in the end. If Seetha is dead what would happen?Raama,Lakshmana and his relatives would die.Sugreeva and all vaanaraas would die.What a sinner am I?While thinking like this,Hanumantha could sense some good signs.Then ,he started thinking positively.Would not Seethas greatness aura save her?Can fire destroy fire?She is so pure and pious.Can God od Fire harm Seetha or Raama?Because of their greatness only,I have not been burnt earlier.Seetha is so great that she is capable of burning even Fire!Then he heard chaaranalu,talikng among themselves.Entire Lanka was set to fire,But Seetha alone is safe and no harm is done to her.Hearing these words Hanumantha was happy.Still he wanted to see her once before returning.So he went to her and saluted her.I am lucky that is why you are safe.Seetha looked at him again and again and requested him to convey her message to Raama and. Ake him come here to release her.He encouraged her to be hpy and took leave of her.

Lanka is on fire!

As per the instructions of Raavana,demons bound cloth pieces onto his tail.They dipped the tail in oil and put fire to it.He was taken along all the streets and lanes with his tail burning.Demons collected in groups and were enjoing it seeing him suffer.Hanumantha is so cool headed even in such dire conditions. He is thinking like this. See his positive approach!I can throw these demons in a single whiff.But what is the use?Even this is useful in fulfilling Raamas mission. Last night I have not observed the entire city because of darkness.Now in day light,I can observe evrything in sun light and report the geagraphical nature,Lankas strong points and weak points.Entire Lanka was enjoing this incident. Some demons told about this matter to Seetha.Seetha was afraid.She prayed God of fire to protect Hanumantha.Hse said like this.If I am a good wife to Raama,if I do penance in strict manner and a pathivratha,a pious woman,Hanumantha would not be affected by this fire.If Sree Raama loves me sincerely,this fire would not adversely affect Hanumantha.Like this Seetha sincerely prayed for Agni devas help.As aresult nothing happened to Hanumantha.Vaayudeva blew over him in slow motion coolly.Hanumantha was over awed.He was sure that it was due to Raamas greatness.This was awonder.Because of Seetha,Raama and friendship between Agni and vaayudevas,this fire did not affect me. Like this,Hanumantha was being dragged around the city with burning tail.Suddenly,he diminished his statire,leapt into the air and became free of the binding ropes.he took an iron ball and killed gate keepers.He thought he should burn all the houses of Lanka.He burnt entire city except Vibheeshanas house.Air helped fire and the city was devastated.Every one was running in the streets and crying for help.They were saying that Vaanara was either Rudra or Yama.He might even be Brahma in the guise of vaanara come to demolish Lanka.Deities wrer happy that many demons were killed in the process.Hanumantha put off the fire on his tail by dipping it in cool waters of the sea.Immediately,he thought about he did just the.

Hanumantha warns Raavana of grave consequences

Hanumantha is continuing his speech.I came here on a royal mission.I brought a message from my king,Sugreeva.Sugreeva has advised you like a good brother.You ,please understand his words and correct your istake towards Raama and give Seetha back to him.Hear my words also.There is no one to equal Raama in his valor.He killed Vaali with a single arrowand handed the throne to Sugreeva.Crores of Vaanara soldiers are searching for Seetha in entire globe.There are not ordinary vaanaraas.I crossed the sea and found Seetha here.I am Vaayudevas son.My name is Hanumantha.You are sure to be destroyed soon.You are a scholar. Is it apt for you to indulge such a heinous act?You have done so much penance.Do you not know that kidnapping others wife is a crime?This sin is going to demolish you completely. Do not think that you have a boon and no one can kill you.Sree Raama is a man and Sugreeva is a monkey.Do,your boon will not include them.Get up from your false dream and assess the reality.Seetha is going smash both you and Lanka.She is like a cursed night for you.Already her aura has burnt most of Lanka.Do not dare to forget Raamas greatness.He has powers either to destroy the entire world or remake it if he wants it.Even Indra can not be safe if he dares to harm Raama.Do you think that it would be difficult for him to put an end to you?No one in the entire universe can save those whom Raama determines to kill. It is not a difficult task for me to destroy this Lanka of yours.Because Raama has determined to do it.So,I left it here only at this stage.Why do you want to get killed in the hands of Raama?Handover Seetha to Raama respectfully. Hearing Hanumanthas words,Raavana lost his temper and roared that Hanumantha be killed.Vibheeshana did not agree to this.He convinced Raavana not to in this manner. Hey brother!Is it apt for you to disgrace yourself by such an act?Does any one kill some ones agent?Is it not against royal rules and regulations?If a scholar like you indulges in such cheap actions what would illiterates do?It would mean that all your knowledge is an utter waste.Think well and give him right punishment for his misdeeds.Raavana protested that killing this vaanara will not be a wrong act.Because he was a sinner he killed so many of demons. Vibheeshana again tried to make him see reason.Many sciences or saasthras tell what punishments should be given to an ambassador.They are like amputation of arms or legs,whipping,tonsure or branding the agent.No where it is said that an agent can be killed. Even if you do not consider those rules,consider this.What use do we gain by killing this vaanara?It is just to kill those who sent him than killing the agent.If we kill this Vaanara,do you really feel some other would come and find Seetha here?How can Raama and Lakshmana learn that Seetha is here?If they do not know,will they wage a war against you?You love to war and win.How can you miss such a great oppurtunity?Show your valor on Raama and Lakshmana.Your fame does not increase if you kill an ambassador. Raavana cooled down. He agreed to what Vibheeshana told him.he said,Yes!what you said is also right.I will punish the agent appropriately.Most loved organ of vaanaraas is its tail.If he loses his tail and returns back,his colleagues would laugh at him.They would make fun of him.So,put fire to his tail and drag him the whole Lanka.Even our people would enjoy the scene.

Hanumantha brought to Raavanaas court

Demons were happy that at last they could get hold of the culprit.So,they beat Hanumantha with sticks and stones and dragged him To Raavanaas court.Raavana was seated on his throne.They looked at each other.Hanumantha was awe struck looking at Raavanas strusture and aura.He was talking within himself.Oh! How handsome he is!He is shining with so much glow.If he is not tainted by wrong deeds,he is fit to be the king of Indra and devalokam.Raavana was unhappy seeing Hanumantha .He thought. is he Nandikeswara from Kailas,who cursed me when I tilted Kailas mountain earlier?Did he come in the guise of a monkey? Or,is he Baanasura to put an end to my life? Every one in the court startedgossiping among themselves seeing this vaanara.Who is he? Why did he come here?It would be nice if can kill him and eat him.Raavana directed his minister,Prahasthudu,to interrogate him as to who he was?Why did he come?Why did he destroy Ashoka vanam?Why did he kill kinkaras and other demons? Prahasthudu started speaking to Hanuma.hey vaanaraa!there is nothing to fear!tell us the truth.Did Indra,Varuna ,Yama or Vishnu send you here?Though you appear like a monkey,you have an immense effect on every one of us.We do not believe that you are just a monkey.On what mission did you come here?If you tell us the truth we will leave you.If you lie to us,you can not leave he alive?Hanumantha turned towards Raavana and addressed him No one ,whom you mentioned ,did send me here.I am really a monkey by birth.As there was no way to see you,I had to destroy Ashoka vanam.When demons attacked me,in self protection I had to kill them.Brahma gave gave me a boon that I can not be harmed by anything,even Brahmaasthram.Actually,it did not bind me.Just to see you and talk to you ,I let your people bind me.

Indrajith captures Hanumantha

Then Raavana sent his son,Akshudu ,to fight with Hanumantha. Both of them fought ferociously for a long time.Hanumatha realised his opponents strength.Then,he held him by his feet and rotated him in air thousand times and thrashed him to the ground and killed him.Hearing this news,Raavana was sad.He became angry.He called his son,Indrajith and talked to him.Son!this vaanara seems to be a great warrior.You not only have physical strength but also have powerful arrows with you.Nothing is impossible to you.You defeated many warriors.Even then,be alert,assess your opponents strength and weakness and act accordingly.Sending you to war now is not an appropriate act on my part.But as per rules you should be sent yo war now.So,go and fight with Hanumantha and defeat him. Indrajith saluted his father and went to war.Heavy war ensued between Indrajith and Hanumantha.Indrajith tried to attack him powerful arrows but Hanumantha leaped into the sky and escaped.Indrajith realised he can not win over Hanumantha.So,atleast he wanted to bind him. so,he released Brahmaasthram on the monkey.Hanumantha knows that he can not be affected by Brahmaasthram as per the boon given to him by Brahma.Even then respecting the Brahmaasthram ,he fell down and lied on the ground unmoving.He thought that even if the demons catch him and take him to Raavna,it would be for good only. When Hanumantha looked like as if he fainted and was silent,demons neared him and bound him with ropes.Hanumantha did not oppose them.If bound by some other thing,effect of Brahmaasthram would be nullified.So,its effect was lost on Hanumantha.Indrajith was sad to note this development,he knew that his Brahmaasthram has gone waste because of the ignorance of his soldiers.

Hanumatha kills Raavanaas soldiers

Hanumantha took hold of an iron ball near the gate of Ashoka vanam and attacked and killed all the eighty thousand kinkaraas He went near the chaithya praasaadam and pulled out a pillar and rotated it fast .He ignited it and burnt the entire area.he started saying.We have vpcrores of warriors like me in our army.If they come here,they would destroy all the demons and kill Raavana.Who ever develop enmity with Raama,would not survive.You will be no more,from now on wards.There will be no Lanka and no Raavana.Saying so he went near the gate and got ready to attack more soldiers. After the death of kinkaras,Raavana sent Jambumaali,son of Prahasthudu.He too died in the hands of Hanumantha.Then seven sons of ministers came and they too lost their lives.Hearing this news,Raavana was afraid.He called five of his army chiefs and told them to be alert.Because he is doubting that Hanumantha might not be an ordinary monkey.Earlier he had seen many vaanara warriors like Vaali,Sugreevudu,Jaambavanthudu,Neeludu,Dvividudu and many others.But this vaanara seems to have more speed,more aura,strength,calibreand intelligence and interest than all of them put together.He may be a great evil in the form of a monkey.Indra might have created this devil to put an end to demons by doing great penance ie thapassu.We should not take him lightly.Be careful and capture him.Raavana warned them to be alert but they too died in the Hanumantha.

Hanumantha destroys Ashoka vanam

After moving from that place,Hanumantha again thought within himself.I have seen Seetha.It would not be enough if I return just like that.It would be better if I can assess Raavanaas strength too.Who ever cleras things more than what he is required to do would alone be called worthy man.Even completion of small deeds need consideration of many facts.Then how can we succeed in such a great task of killing Raavana,if we do not assess other important factors also?If I can see Raavana in his royal court I can assess his mind set.We can not succeed with demons by good means.Punishing is the only method that would bring good results.I have to think of ways to start a war. Now,I would destroy this Ashoka vanam.Then his servants would attack me and I would kill few of them.Then they would capture me and take me to Raavana.Then,I too can show my strength to them also. So,Hanumantha started putting his thoughts into action and started destroying the garden.Ashoka vanam was very pleasant and Hanumantha destroyed it.It made so much noise that local people were afraid and run out from their houses and in the streets.Demons surrounding Seetha,who were sleeping woke up with these noises and were afraid on seeing Hanumantha in huge form.They questioned Seetha about him.Who is he?Why did he come here?What did he talk yo you.You need not be afraid! Please tell us everything.they requested. Seetha denied that she knew anything about him.She said that she too was afraid because she is thinking he is one type of demon.those women ran to tell these things to Raavana.They told him in detail of what happened in Ashoka vanam.Het Lord! A valiant warrior,in the form of monkey has come to talk to Seetha.After talking to her,he destroyed Ashoka vanam.He damaged entire vanam but left one single tree under which Seetha was sitting.We do not know the reason behind it.Was it to protect her or was he tired and stopped from damaging that tree too.Would he get tired? No!It was surely to save her only.Inspite of our enquiries,Seetha did not reveal anything about him.We do not know if he is Indras agent,Kuberas agent or Raamas agent.Hey Lord!he did two mistakes.first one is that he talked with Seetha.Second one is that he destroyed Ashoka vanam.So,he should be punished. Hearing this,Raavana became angry.He deployed eighty tousand kinkaras to attack Hanumantha.They all fell on him.Hanumantha hailed Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva and gave his introduction to them. I am servant of Raama.I am the son of Vaayudeva.My name is Hanumantha.Even thousand Raavanas can equal my valor.I will destroy Lanka before eyes only and take away Seetha to Raama.

Seetha gives Choodamani to Hanumantha

Seetha is pleading with Hanumantha to see that Raama clears her hardships.He has to encourage Raama to come here.I do not know what you will do but see that Raama comes here soon.I am going to live only for a month.It is definite.Hanuma!take this Choodaamani!give ot to Raama!As soon as he sees it,he would remember me,Dasaradha and my mother.This is a good identification.Every thing is in your hands.Hanumantha put choodamani on his finger and stood up.He went round her in reverence.He is happy for having seen Seetha and is eager to tell this information to Raama as soon as possible.Though his body is there,his mind is with Raama.Seetha was looking at Hanumantha again and again.She was relaxed and happy seeing him.She requested him to take in some secret place and start his journey thenext day.If he goes then itself she would feel sad.I might even die with sorrow. Hanumantha is pacifying her.mother!do not feel sad!I would see that Raama comes here soon.Again Seetha has more doubts.Hanuma!one doubt is pestering me.How can Raama,Lakshmana and vaanara army cross the sea?You,Garuthmantha and Vaayudeva alone have the capacity to cross the sea.How do others come here?tell me your answer to my question.hanumantha replied her in his own way.hey mother!do not worry over these petty matters.Sugreeva and his army are very strong and powerful.They have rounded this earth so many times.Crossing the sea is nothing to them.Every one in Sugreevas team is greater than me,none the less.That too,for such small things they employ servants of lower cadre and capability.Why do they send great warriors on such trivial mission?If I could cross it,all others can definitely cross it.Even otherwise,I would make Raama and Lakshmana sit on my back and bring them here safe.Then they can put an end to Raavana in no time.Let me take leave of you and start my journey back. Seetha regained her composure hearing these words.Hanuma!see that I reach Raama soon.I will tell you another incident between me and Raama,so that hearing it Raama would be sure to understand that you met me here.One day,Thilakam on my forehead gone astray.Then Raama had corrected it a diamond stone.Does he remember that incident.why do you not come to me to save me?I am in great sorrow surrounded by demons.Till now I was pacifying myself by looking at choodaamani.But now,I am sending it to you.From now onwards,I will be deprived of even that little soothing.I will not live more than a month from now.Thinking that good days may come one day,I have been suffering all these days. Hanuma tell all my words to Raama and bring him here. Hanumantha again told her to be strong.good days are going to come soon.Hanumantha again saluted her and got ready to start his journey.Seetha blessed him that his way would be smooth and clear.He would not face any trouble.

Seetha tells Hanumantha about an earlier incident between her and Raama

Seetha corrected herself and told him these words.Hanuma! Do you really think that I do not realise your actual capacity and power?I know pretty well that you have Vaayudevas speed and Agnidvas aura in you.If you are an ordinary mortal,how can you such a vast sea?I know that you can take me to Rama safe.But first of we should see that Raamas mission does not face failure.It is not right on my part to come with you. The are many reasons behind it. Listen!While you are crossing the sea,seating me on your back,what if I fall into the sea out of fear?Definitely,demons would attack you and fight with you.Then you would be forced to fight them back.What would you do the? Either protect me or fight with them?Then it would be more of a danger.While you are fighting with then,I might slip from your back out of fear.Then demons would take me away and hide in a more secure place or they might kill me.Either way,all your efforts so far would go utter waste. You can definitely defeat demons.But think once! Raamas fame would fade away naturally.There is one more reason for my refusal to sit on your back.I do not touch other men.You might ask me that had not Raavana touched you?But it was not done with my consent.It would be right and appreciated if Raama comes here and wipes out Raavana and his entire family in one big sweep.Raavana brought her here by force in the absence of Raama and Lakshmana.If Hanuma takes away Seetha stealthily ,then would punish Raavana?Hanuma!so go fast and bring Raama,Lakshmana ,Sugreeva and the vast vaanara army and vlear my agony. Hanuma was gratified and satisfied by Seethas words. He concurred with her views fully.Mother! How right you are!No one other than you can speak like this.You are an able and appropriate wife to great Raama.Seeing the agony of Raama and you,I thought of this way.But what you said is right.I would tell Raama what all happened here. i would explain yo him how you rejected Raavanas plea,your suffering,and your desperation to commit suicide and see that he starts immediately to relieve you.Then Hanumantha asked her to give some information to anable Raama to understand that he actually met Seetha. To this query Seetha replied.She remembered earlier times when they were together in the forest and started telling him those details.Naadhaa!(husband)!We were living in Chithrakoota Parvatham area near Siddhaasramam besides River Ganges.Do you remember this incident? One day,we were enjoying walking through the floral forest and I was tired.Then you let me rest in your lap.Then a crow came started poking me with its beak.Though I tried to ward itoff,it came again and again and started eating my flesh.My saree slipped at the time and I stood up to set my saree right. you laughed at me and And I was shy to correct the saree before you.I was tired and again lay in your lap.You saw that I was angry on your laughing at me and cajoled me.Then I slept and again that crow came and started piercing my breasts.Blood dripped from my body and fell pn you.You got angry with the actions of that crow and took a grass spike and chanted slokas to make Brahmaasthram and released it on that crow.That crow was actually the son of Indra. it tried to escape from the effect pf Brahmaasthram and no one could help it. at last,it came to you for forgiveness.Since Brahmaasthram is very powerful and without hitting the object it can not be retrieved,you made it hit its eye only and come back to you.You used Brahmaasthram on such a small creature like a crow when it hurt me.Then why are you delaying from coming to my rescue?Can you not show your kindness on me too?Being a wife of such agreat man,should I suffer among demons like a destitute? Hanuma!tell these words to Raama.Raama and Lakshmana are valiant.But they are not showering their kindness on me.At least,Lakshmana could have come to rescue me taking his brothers permission.Even that did not happen.My bad luck is the sole reason for all these difficulties.What is the use in blaming others? Hanuma pacified her by telling her not to worry.I took so much trouble in finding you.It is time for joy not sorrow.I would immediately go and bring Raama and Lakshmana along with vaanara army.All your troubles will come to an end.If you want me to tell anything in particular to Raama and Lakshmana,please tell me now. Seetha told him to convey her regards to Raama and her salutations.Tell Lakshmana that I enquired about his welfare.He is treating me and his brother as if we are his parents.He is such a good charactered person.Probably she might have been repenting her earlier remarks that Lakshmana had bad intentions towards her.

Hanumantha shows his actual stature to Seetha

hanumantha is trying to console Seetha.He saluted her and is saying like this.Hey mother!Raama still doen know where you are.As soon as he knows ,he would come here and take you back along with him.Heis pining for you.He is neither eating nor sleeping.Even he is drowsy he again wakes up saying Seetha!Seetha!Whenever he sees a fruit or flower,they would remind him of you.He always thinking about you only.He is making all the moves to rescue you. To this Seetha replied that she was both happy and sorry.She is happy that Raama is always thinking about her. she is sorry that he is worried about her welfare.Acquiring huge wealth or being thrown into gruesome difficulties is ony the act of God.It binds and drags us.Nothing is in our hands.No one cross Gods intentions.Otherwise,How can Raama ,Lakshmana and myself be in such deep trouble?Is there no end to my hardships?When would Raama come here,kill Raavana and see me? Hanumantha!only two months are left from the time Raavana gave me to accept him.Vibheeshana requested him many a time to hand over me to Raama.But Raavana did not agree.Vibheeshanas daughter,Nala ,had told me on being sent by her mother.Raama has interest,strength valor,kindness and many other good traits.You please go fast and tell him about my plight and see that he comes here fast.It is not as if I do not realise his power.He killed single handed fourteen thousand demons in janasdhaanam.No one can stop Raamas arrows. Hanumantha is pacifying her.Mother!do have some patience!As soon as I go back and tell him,he would come fast along with army.Or let us do one thing.I will tell you aplan by which your agony would come to end fast.You sit on my back.I would take you to Raama myself.Seethawas awe struck by these words of Hanumantha. Aye Hanuma!can you really carry me all that distance?You are so small!Can you really carry me the entire journey to mainland,crossing the sea?Do your words have any meaning?Eaxactly you are behaving like a monkey only now. Hanuma heard these words of Seetha and was offended by her words. No one had spoken to him earlier like this in a derogatory manner.He felt for this untoward comment.He felt that Seetha really did not assess his powers and capacity.So,he expanded his form to his natural status.He was glowing like Meru parvatham and stood before her majestically.

Hanumantha convinces Seetha

Hanumantha started to convince Seetha.Raama is truthful.He talks in a sweet manner.He is like Manmadha in human form.He is so handsome.He would get angry at the appropriate time.Other wise,he is so cool headed.He is the best in all good traits in the entire world.He would come. Soon,assassinate Raavana and take you back with him.Hey mother!I came here as Raamas servant.Raama is saddened by your absence.He wants to hear about your well being.Lakshmana and Sugreeva also want to know about your well being.Sugreeva is king of our monkey dynasty.He is a friend of Raama.Raama,Lakshma and Sugreeva would always be talking about you and your good nature and character.Three of them would come here with crores of vaanara warriors and save you from the cruel clutches of Raavana.I am Sugreevas minister.My name is Hanumantha.I crossed the sea to find you.Do not doubt my intentions. Then Seetha asked him how they became friends in the first place.How did human beings and vaanaraas mingle?You said you had seen Raama and Lakshmana.please describe them.to her query,Hanumantha started explaing their physical features and their character.Sree Raama has dark complexion.He is eight feet tall.He has strong shoulders.His voice is crisp and strong.He is a warrior.Lakshmana is also as beautiful as Raama.He too is good charactered. He is fair complexened.Hey mother!Rama and Lakshmana raeched Rushyamooka parvatham whilesearching for you.Our king Sugreeva was shunned by his brother Vaali and was hiding on this mountain.sugreeva has four ministers.I am one of them.We too followed our king and were staying on Rushyamooka parvatham,ie mountain.One day Raama and Lakshmana came there.Seeing their stature and aura,Sugreeva was afraid of them.He sent Hanumantha to enquire about them and their intentions.Hanumantha went to them talkedwith them and took them to Sugreeva on his shoulders.Sre Raama and Sugreeva became friends having fire as witness.They exchanged their woes and took oath to help each other at alltimes.Do you remember that you have dropped a sachet of ornaments while Raavana was taking you to Lanka by force?I found it and kept it safe.I showed those ornaments to Raama.On seeing them,he fainted.After some time,he regained consciousness and looked at them for a long timeand wept.Hey mother!He is repenting and sad since you.eft him.As per the terms of friendship,Raama killed Vaali and gave back the kingdom to Sugreeva.Sugreeva promised to search and find Seetha and hlpraama to get her back.So,Sugreeva sent his vaanara warriors in all the four directions. He kept timelimit of one month.In that duration only,they had to search the entire area and bring back the good news about Seetha.As per his directions, we came southwards.We crossed the time given to us.We did not know what to do.Sugreeva is very strict in his orders.We crossed the time limit and we did not complete the work allotted to us.If we go back without succesfully completing our task,we are sure to be punished with death.So,we all wanted to end our lives here only.At that time,we came across Sampaathi,Jataayus elder brother.He told us about your where abouts.No one had the ability to cross the sea. So,I had crossed the sea.I searched all over Lanka for you.At last,I found you here.By Gods grace, crossing the sea did not go waste.I am lucky to find you here.Vaanaraas are no more sad now that we found you. Hey mother!Raama would come fast and kill Raavana along with all his family memebers.I am the son of Vaayuputhra. Believe me! Hearing Hanumanthas words,Seeethas doubts were cleared.She released tears of joy!Her face glowed with relief.Hanumantha requested her to order him as what he should do next. Because he had to go back soon to inform Raama about Seetha.Raama had given me this to be shown to you in case you doubt my intentions.Accept it.All your worries are over. From now on wards,only good things will happen to you.Seetha took it and looked at it for a long time.Seeing it,she felt as if she were seeing Raama himself.She praised Hanumantha. Hanumantha!you did a great job.You have no ordinary valor.your strength,your daringness and your intelligence are praise worthy.Crossing the great sea all alone,entering Lanka which is always protected by demons are not east tasks.I do not think that you are an ordinary monkey.Your guts are great that you did not even mind Raavana.Just because you are Raamas aide,I can talk to you.Sree Raama would neversend an aide without assessing his valor,strength and all other details.That too ,to search me! No way!I am lucky enough.That is why Raama and Lakshmana are safe.You too know their strength.Then why are they still vascillating without attacking Raavana?May be there is no end to my sorrow!You said that Raama is repenting my absence.Is he so desperate all the time that he even forgot to think about me?Is he behaving like a royal warrior or weeping all the time without thinking plan of action to save me?Did he acquire good and reliable friends?Is he taking the help of Gods?Did his love towards me lessen because of these distances?Hanumantha!do you have knowledge about welfare of Kousalya,Sumithra and Bharatha?Would Bharatha send huge army for my sake?Can I soon see Raama,Lakshmana and Sugreeva come here with huge vaanara armies andand defeat Raavana?Would Raama and Lakshmanaevacuate Lanka with their powerful arrows?Raama has immense love regarding me.I am always remembering his love towards me.I am hopeful that love would make him come here and take me along with him.

Dialogue between Seetha and Hanumantha

Hanumantha came down from the tree and saluted her in earnest.He started speaking to her nicely and with reverence.Hey mother! Who are you? Why are you sad?Hwy are you wearing a crumpled saree and hanging on o this tree?what is the reason behind your tears.Hey mother! Are you a deity?your crying,your exasperation,the way you are touching the earth make me believe that are not a deity but human being.Seeing you,I can feel that you have royal blood in you and a queen.Are you Seethadevi,whom Raavana had kidnapped?Observing you I strongly feel that you are Raamas wife. To this Seetha answered happily.Yes!I am daughter in law of Dasaradha.Janaka is my father.I am the wife of Raama.I lived happily with my husband twelve years since my marriage.My father in law wanted to make Raama the future king of Ayodhya.Raamas step mother,Kaikeyi protested it.Hse cornered Dasaradha and sent us to forests.As per the directions of his father,Raama left his kingdom andcame to live in forest.My husband would give happily whatever any one asks of him ,but never extends his hands before others.He is roghteous and valiant.As I am pure and pious and love Raama ,I accompanied him into the forests.Because of utmost revence towards his elder brother,Lakshmana too came along with his brother,RAAMA.WHEN WE WERE living in Dandakaaranya forest,Raavana grabbed me and kidnapped me.He brought me here and gave me one year time to accept him.Only two months are left for that time to expire.If that period is over,I am sure to end my life. To this Hanumatha replied her.hey mother!I am the agent of Raama.Raama is well.He wants to know about your well being.Lakshmana is also OK.Lakshmana saluted you.Seetha exclaimed that one is alive,he is sure to reap fruits.It has become true in her life,because she has not ended her life in haste and desperation.Both of them put aside their sorrows and talked amicably for some time.Hanumantha came near Seetha. For a moment she feared that the monkey might be Raavana himself in that guise and suddenly sat on the ground.She even stopped looking at him.Hanumantha saluted her.She exhaled and told with dullness.If you are Raavana,please go away.Do not put me into more trouble and sorrow.You brought me here by foul means.why do you want to torture me further? Again she is in dilemma.I strogly feel that all my doubts are irrelavant.Because I am relaxed after seeing you.If you are really Raamas agent,all my best wishes are with you.May be it isall adream.I. Am so happy in my dream.Some one said that he was Raamas servant and I could see him.How nice it would be if I can see Raama and Lakshmana too in my dream?But even these dreams are partial towards me.No,it is not a dream definitely.How can I feel happiness of I see a monkey in my dream?I am so happy now!Have I gone insane?definitely not! Because I can clearly see that monkey and myself.Thinking in these lines,Seetha doubted it might be Raavana,she stopped talking to Hanumantha.Assessing her state of mind,Hanumatha slowly started praising Raama and telling about Raamas greatness.He wanted her to confident that he was really her well wisher,because Raavana would never praise Raama before her.

Seetha sees Hanumantha

Hanumantha is thinking about what would please Seetha as soon as she hears something.I would praise Raama.I would tell her in smooth and slow tones what Raama had told me to convey her.Relatives information would be pleasant to hear.Thinking so,Hanumantha started telling the story of Dasaradha.He continued the story telling about the facts of Raama,Seetha and LAkshmana coming to forest,killing of Demons Khara and Dooshana,Raavana kidnapping Seetha,friendship between Raama and Sugreeva,killing of Vaali,Enthronement of Sugreeva,search by vaanara warriors all around the globe,Hanuma crossing the sea as per the directions of Sampaathi and finding of Seetha by Hanuma at last. Seethadevi heard these words and was happy.She slowly looked up and could see Hanumantha glowing like Sun among the branches.Hanumantha was wearing white clothes and there was aura around him.Seetha fainted seeing Hanumantha.She regained consciousness and felt that it was her dream.Because who was there to tell about her presence in Lanka to Raama?Hse was concerned because she thought it was adream.Because it was thought to be a bad omen if one saw a monkey in dream.What might have happened to Raama,Lakshmana or Her father,Janaka?She chided herself.How can she dream when she can not get even sleep here?How can I relax in the absence of Raama?So,definitely this is not a dream,she confirmed herself. so what is the significance behind hearing Raamas story?As she was chanting Raamas name all the time,she might have heard his story in her subconsciousness.But I am clearly seeing this monkey form.Definitely he spoke those words about Raama.I would salute Indra and all other deities. may his words become true!

Seetha devi tries to commit suicide

Seetha devi was vexed with all these latest developments.She felt wretched.There was no end to her sorry. she was weeping all the time.She was again thinking.Only two months are left over. if Sree Raama doesnot come within that time,Raavana would cut me into pieces in the same manner as a surgeon cuts open the body of mother to take out the child if child birth is not normal.Is this the result of all my belief in God and doing poojaas and vrathaas and for my celibecy.Are all these like gooddone to an ungrateful person?Hey Raama! I can live no more!Seetha meditated on Raama.She was shivering with worry.Her tongue was parched with thirst.She came near Simsupaavruksham ie rosewood tree.She wanted to commit suicide by binding her hair to her neck. thinking so,she held to one of the branches.At that time,she sensed her left eye tremble.It was a good sign for forthcoming future that all would be well. Hanumantha was observing everything hidden among the leaves and branches all along.hanumantha started thinking.I could see Seetha atlast.I was afraid I had to return back without seeing her.I saw Lanka and assessedRaavanaas power.Seethadevi is worried about when she would see her husband.First I should talk to her and pacify her that all would be well.If I return back without consoling her,It would mean that I have sinned.As it is ,she is desperate that she is alone and thinking of ending her life.Raama is eager to hear some good news about her.I should be in a position to make him happy.At any cost,I should talk to her.It is not safe to talk to her while she is surrounded by lady demons.I have to find a way to talk to her before sunrise.Otherwise she is sure to end her life.When Raama askes me what Seetha had told to him,if he says that he had not talked to her at all,he would burn him alive.Of what use it is if Sugreeva comes and wins over Raavana,when once Seetha is dead?So,I should definitely talk and console her.I should talk to her without the knowledge of demons.As I am in small shape,most probably they might not recognise me.If I speak in Sanskrit,they would not understand it.But,if I speak in Sanskrit like a Brahmin,Seetha would doubt how a monkey can speak in Sanskrit. She is then sure to think that it might be one of the tricks of Raavana.So,it is better to speak in normal language.Even then,she might be afraid of me.She would. Be aghast to hear a monkey speak and think it is demons trick.She might cry for help.Then all the demons might attack him.Then they would try to catch me.Then It would be impossible for me to keep quiet.Naturally,I too would attack them with branches and sticks from all sides.Then gate keepers and other servants would attack me and I might have to kill few of them in the ensuing fight.If I get tired in this attck ,can I return back and cross the sea again?If all these security persons capture me,what should I do? Then how does Raama know that Seetha is is here?How does Raama know. What all happened to Seetha and in what condition she is passing the days?As a result of all this drama,demons might kill her.Once she is no more,what would happen even if Raama and Sugreeva come from the main land and defeat Raavana?In war,no one can predict who will win.If I die in this war,who else would come and Find Seetha?Hanumantha was in a dilemma whether to talk to Seetha or not.If an agent is a fool, work which is about to succeed would also end up in failure.He should act in such a way thatRaamas mission is not a failure,huge task of crossing the sea should not go waste and Seetha shouldnot be afraid.He had to definitely talk to Seetha in an intelligent manner.

Thrijatas dream

Thrijata started telling about her dream.Sree Raama has come to Lankapuri wearing white flowered garlands and white dresses on a Palanquin carried by thousand swans.Seetha wore white saree and climbed a white mountain.Seetha and Raama united like light and Sun.Raama and Lakshmana roamed in the streets of Lanka on a big elephant.They neared Seetha and sat her also on the elephant.Afterwards,all of them left in Pushpaka vimaanam northen wards.Raavana wore garland made of mariegold flowers.He had applied oil on his body and wore red colored dress.He drank wine and fell on the ground unconscious.A woman wearing black dress was dragging him on the ground.Raavana was on a chariot in an unconscious state,which was dragged by donkeys.He sat on one donkey and went southwards.He fell down from that donkey too in lopsided way.He was blabbering foul words andwent and fell in a foul smelling ditch.A woman ,weating black dress,scooped a rope around his neck and dragged him towards south.All of his brothers and sons were like him only,except Vibheeshana.Vibheeshana was wearing white flowered garlands and white dress and roaming on an elephant.I could feel and see that one Raamas servant was putting Lanka on fire. That was my dream. From now on wards do not threaten Seetha.You request her to protect you.She is sure to forgive you.We are sure to see down fall of Raavana and victory od Raama very soon.look!left eye,left shoulder and left thigh of Seetha are shivering.The chirping of bird on the tree is also indicating these premonitions.

Seetha desperate and dejected

Vinatha ,a demon,told Seetha to stop praising Raama.Too much in anything is not good.It would lead to sorrow.What all you said is nice till now.Now ,hear our words and accept Raavana and enjoy life as queen of Lanka.Other wise,we are going to eat you alive.Vikata,another demon threatened like this.Seetha! Why are you crying?What is the use of it?Would any one come to rescue you?Leaving hoping that Raama would come and save you.Become Raavanaas wife and be happy.Another demon took a spear and came towards Seetha speedily saying that her meat would be delicious.Another demon,Prabhava told her colleagues to squeeze her throat and kill her.Then they would go to Raavana and tell him that Seetha is dead.Then he would automatically tell them to eat her away.Another demon suggested that Seetha be cut into many pieces and they should all eat her and enjoy by drinking wine and dancing at Nikumbhila. Seetha was like a deer among pack of wolves.She held on to a branch and thinking of Raama.She was sorrowful.She remembered Lakshmana,Kousalya,Dumithra and other relatives.She was talking within herself.If it is not our time,even death will evade us.How can I live even after being distanced from Raama?Just because I am a sinner,I am unable to see Raama.Only great people can see Raama.I might have committed great sins in my earlier lives.I can not live any more.Even death will not come to us when we want.I am not even free to die without the permission of my husband.What a life am I leading?She was mentally imbalanced and crying rolling on the ground. I am in such a despicable condition.I am alive even though Raama is not with me.hey demons!I can not control my sorrow any more.Please kill me and do me that favor.However you may try and threaten me I would not touch Raavana even with my left toes.There is no use trying your tricks on me.If not for my bad luck,Raama would have already come here and saved me.He killed so many demons.Killing Raavana is no great task for him.It is true that there is sea in between.But it is not a factor to be worried for him.His arrows are so powerful they can cross anything.May be he does not know I am here.Jataayuvu could have told him about me.He was killed by Raavana.If at all Raama learns about my being here,he would definitely smash both Lanka and Raavana. Seetha started cursing Lanka and its inmates.Just as I weeping now,in every house in this city women would weep for having lost their husbands.soon,vultures would land in the city of Lanka to eat at the dead bodies of the demons.Entire Lanka would become a burial ground.I am sure to hear lamenting from each household.I can already see indications of it.Time gap which Raavana gave me is going to end soon.That sinner might even kill me one day.Even if I want to die ,there is no one to give me poison here.How can I stay alive without seeing Raama for so long?How can they know that I am stranded here.They would have searched all through the places.How can they remain silent without searching for me?Would they have left me for my fate? Definitely not!They could not have found out that I am here.May be he could not digest the fact that I am not with him and might have died.He might have gone to heaven!all the deities are lucky because they all can see Raama now.No! No! No! Raama is definitely alive.May be he is like raajarshi,a sage.What do they about wives absence,when they have hugged philosophy?Anyone would remember love and affection as long as we are present,in our absence that love is lost and is no more.This saying is appropriate only in the case of ungrateful people.Raama is not one among them.Is it that Raama and Lakshmana started eating tubers and roots,moving around the forests,leaving their weapons...had become rishis or sages?Or,may be Raavana killed them both by tricking them. I can no longer live without Raama.How great are those who minimise difference between liking and unliking and are consistant.I salute them.I cannot live in the presence of wicked Raavana.I will die.All the demons surrounding Seetha heard these words.Some of them to tell about her decision to Raavana.Some others dashed at her to threaten her some more.an old demon,Thrijata ,was sleeping near by till then. she woke up with a start hearing the words of demons.She scolded demons for their rash behaviour and started telling them about her dram.
