Kowsalya and Dasaratha repent

Kowsalya was scolding Dasaratha for his heartless deed.Entire world used to say that Dasaratha was kind hearted.How could he such a heinous act?How could Rama,Lakshmana and Seetha live in forest?How could Rama sleep with his shoulder under his head while his shoulders were like iron blocks?Even after returning from the forest ,Rama would not accept the throne.He would not like to touch the post which had been taken by BHaratha.Lion would not eat the meat left by other animals. Since Rama was like lion among men, he too would not touch it.If Rama gets angry he would crush Mandara mountains also.But because of respect towards his father ,he left Dasaratha unharmed.Dasaratha sent such a great soul to forest.

For a woman first preference is husband,second son,third relatives and there is no other alternative.As Dasaratha was attracted towards Kaikeyi and neglected Kowsalya. So practically she did not have the love of Dasaratha.Her son had been sent to the forest .She could not leave her husband and go to her son.In all aspects she faced injustice.He destroyed the kingdom.Everyone in the kingdom were adversely affected by Dasarathas decsion except Kaikeyi and Bharatha.

Sumanthra repeats the words of Rama

Sumanthra was repeating the words of Rama to Dasaradha.Rama paid homage to all his mothers and father.He told kowsalya to look after their father well.Kowsalya should be conducive towards Kaikeyi and Bharatha. She should never forget that he was selected by the king Dasaradha to be the king. He told Bharatha to look after his mother as his mother only.He should accept kinship according to Dasaradhas wish.Saying all theses things Rama wept. But Lakshmana was full of fury and anger.He questioned thus.What wrong did Rama do to be sent to the forest?What right did the king have to put Rama to such trouble basing on Kaikeyis wish?Lakshmana does not have any fatherly affection towards Dasaradha now.Rama was everything for him.Seetha devi was silent . She was seeing at the chariot and ,Sumanthra and Rama with dull and sorrowful face.She said every thing with her eyes only.It was as she was asking Sumanthra how he could take back the cha riot to AYODHYA leaving the king in the forest?Was he justified in doing so?

Rama and Lakshmana tied their hair and wore Cotton sarees.They crossed Ganga and went toeards Prayaga.Sumanthra left them at the northern side of Ganga and returned.He waited at Guhas abode in the hope that Rama might call for him. But with no result he had to return back.Dasaratha and kowsalya wept and requested Sumanthra to take them to Rama and wept. But it was of no use.

Sumanthra returns to Ayodhya

Guha and Sumanthra observed Rama and others reach southern bank of Ganga and returned to Guhas abode.Guhas men brought the news of Rama reaching Bharadwajas asram and from there to Chitrakuta parvatham.Sumanthra started and reached Ayodhya on the third day.Entire town was blank. It looked as if it was burnt down by Ramasokaagni. People started asking him about Rama and his welfare.Sumanthra could not answre them and silently went into Dasaradhas palace. Sumanthra told him what Rama told him to convey. Dasaradha fainted and Kowsalya and Sumithra helped him to revive.Kowsalya toldDasaradha to enquire about Ramas welfare without fear because Kaikeyi was not there.

Then Dasaradha asked him regarding under which tree Rama was residing, what was he wearing and eating?How were they withstanding all the difficulties in the forest?Sumanthra was great because he could see them in the forest. He would atleast survive by knowing his whereabouts.
