Hanumas reply to Swayamprabha

Swayamprabha asked them to tell their story if their hunger and thirst have been quenched.Hanuma started replying her.Sree Rama is the king of entire universe. He is the eldest son of King Dasaradha.He came to Dandakaaranya along with his wife,Seetha and brother Lakshmana.During their stay there.Demon Raavana kidnapped Seetha.They were searching for her.At that time,King of Vaanaraas,Sugreeva became their friend. Sugreeva sent his men to search and find out Seetha.Sugreeva sent us to search in southern direction.We tried and tried but to no avail. we were tired and exhausted. At that time,we came across this tunnel and we came here.You have been kind enough to welcome us and feed us.You saved us by your kind deed.We are thinking of how to reciprocate your kindness. Swayam prabha told him that nothing was necessary . She acted according to righteousness.She was happy to hear about them.Hanuma requested her another thing.time stipulated by their king,Sugreeva was over.So,she should help them come out of that tunnel.They had come to accomplish a great deed. If they are stranded there,it would become very difficult. Swayam prabha told them that no one could go out with their lives. But she would help them. But they all had to close their eyes till she told them to open them.Within seconds she brought them out of that tunnel.She showed them Vindhya mountains.She pointed out at Prasravana sailamu.She showed them the sea.She helped them identify their location. She took leave of them and wished them good luck.

entry into Rukshabilam

Vaanaraas were tired,hungry and thirsty. They came to the entrance of Rukshabilam,a tunnel.They saw many types of birds...Krounchamulu,Swans,Saarasamulu,Chakravaakamulu...coming out of the tunnel. Their wings were wet.Hanumantha absorved it.He said that they were all tired.It seems there might be a water body near by, because entrance of the Bilam was fresh with greenery.All the vaanaraas entered the tunnel.It was very dark.They held one anothers hands and wanked.After some time,they could see light. There was a beautiful garden.All trees were in blossom.The place was filled with diamonds and saphires.They could see a pond which was enriched with golden lotus flowers,golden fish and golden turtles.Near by there was an elegant mansion.It had golden windows,silver tiles,pearls decoration.Every where you could see gold,silver,pearls,and diamonds.Soices and condiments were in heaps.There was no limit to the beautiful and silken clothing.There were many fruits and tubers.They came across a woman who was a sage. Hanumantha saluted her and enquired about her.Who are you?to whom do all these costly and fabulous things belong?Weare all tired.We are hungry and thirsty.So,without thinking we came here to find water.We are attracted seeing all these things.How come there are golden trees here?How can golden lotus flowers come here?Whose power is it?We are unable to assess.If you care to tell us,we want to hear. That woman started telling Hanumantha.Mayudu,a demon built this golden garden.He is the main architect of demons.He did great penance and obtained a boon from Brahma.He built this mansion . He loved Hema, apsarasa.He was living here with her. Indra got angry and attacked him with his Vajraayudham.Mayudu left this place. Brahma gave this garden and mansion to Hema.Hema is my friend.I am the daughter of MeruSaavarni.My name is Swayamprabha I protect this garden and this mansion. Hey vaanaraas!why did you come this way?On what mission did you come here?First,you eat these delicious fruits,drink the water and pacify your hunger and thirst.Later,you tell me about yourselves.

difficulties faced by Vaanaraas who went in the southern direction

Vinathudu who went inthe direction of East,Sathavali, who went in the direction of North and Sushenudu who went in the direction of West,returned in scheduled time but with no possible,positive news about Seetha.Those vaanaraas,who went in the direction of South faced many problems.They searched Vindhya range.it was very difficult to search forests,caves in that region.Then they came to a vacant land. there was no life there,even water was not present.Kandu maharshis son died there.So ,Kandu maharshi cursed that area.After that ,they across a bushy area where they came across a demon who threatened to kill all of them.Angada thought that he was Ravana and killed him.Vaanaraas searched all the places but could not find Seetha.They were sad and all of hem sat under a tree. Angadudu told every one assembled there like this.We searched forests,mountains and in caves without any negligence.still we could find neither Seethas whereabouts nor Raavanas abode.sTIPULATED Time is cpmleted.Sugreeva is very strict emperor. So,we should search further.we should keep aside lethargy,sorrow and sleep and search.if we search with interest,any thing can be achieved.things never move forward if we sit and feel sorry. Gandamaadanudu was exhusted and was thirsty.But still he agreed to advise of Angadudu and stimulated others to search again. They all got up and started searching Vindhya range of mountains.They came down and searched all the caves.in the mean time ,time span stipulated by Sugreeva to complete the task was crossed.Still,they did not stop searching.There they saw a wide tunnel.

Rama gives his ring to Hanumantha

Sree Rama heard what Sugreeva told HanumanthaHe too felt the same.so,he gave him his ring to be given to Seetha when he meets her.He told Hanumantha like this.Hanumantha!take this ring.Seetha will understand that you have come from me.She would be confident and fearless while talking to you and in replying to me.I am seeing your interest,josh,valour,Sugreevas words that you alone can bring good news to us. Hanumantha accepted the ring and kept it on his head as reverence, saluted Rama and started preparing for the journey.Once again,Rama reminded Hanumantha that he was cashing on his strength and power.Hanumantha !you are a valiant man.You are the son of Sun.You make all the trials and see that Seethas where abouts are known.all monkey army started on all four directions in search of Seetha. Rama turned towards Sugreeva and asked him.Sugreeva ! you told topography of the entire earth with such minute details.How do you know?Sugreeva answered him.Earlier I told you that thiinking that Vali was dead,I closed the entrance of the cave.I came to Kishkindha.with ministers pressure on me to accept the thron,I accepted and was ruling the kingdom.Vali came again and he was on mission to kill me and my ministers.I ran with fear of my life all over the earth in all the four directions.seeing my plight,Hanumantha reminded me about Mathangaasramam and the curse towards Vali by him.From then onwards,till I saw you I am living on Rushyamooka parvatham.This was the reason I know about every nook and corner on this Earth. After monkey army went in search of Seetha,Rama lived with Lakshmana on Prasravana giri and was waiting for some positive news.

About Somagiri and special advise to Hanumantha

After Uththara kurudesam,there is Uththara samudram or sea.In the middle of that sea,lies a hill named Somagiri.It is isble for those persons only,who are eligible to enter Indraloka and Brahmna loka.Sun does not rise there,but due to the illumination of the mountain,that place will be shining all thetime.Brahma,Vishnu and Maheswarudu will be residing there.All Brahmarshis would be praying them.Even deities can not enter that Somagiri.So,you just see it and return back. you are not allowed to enter. Hey monkey warriors!you go search in all those places ,which I have mentioned and come succesful.Rama would be happy for your achievements and similarly I too would be happy.you can live happily with your family and relatives there after.After saying all these in general,Sugreeva told these specific words to Hanumantha. Hanumanthaa!you can move about freely on land,water and in the sky and even in heaven.You know Asuralokam,Gandharva lokam, Naagalokam,Devalokam,and all other lokaas.You are to your father in moving,valour and stature.There is no other person who has similar aura than you in the entire universe.So,you are the only one who can make this mission succesful.YOU are a righteousman and know legalaspects.There is no one who can equal you in strength,intelligence,valour,and presence of mind.

About uththarakuru desam

From Mynaka parvatham,if you still go,you will come across an aasramam.maharshis with animaadi siddhulu will be living there.salute them and explain about Seetha to them.there you can find a lake named Vaikhaanasa.it is very beautiful.Kuberas elephant,Saarvabhouma will be roaming there with female elephants there.
After that place,you can not find Sun,Moon,and stars.you can not see clouds there.everything will be calm and vacant.even if sun and moon do not shine there,siddha purushulu who live there are self glowing.so that place is filled with light and glow.
After that place,there is Sailoda river.after crossing that place,you would come across Uththara kurudesam.onlu pious people live there.there golden lotus flowers with diamond studded stems can be seen all along the rivers.you can find many flowers,rubies,diamonds,pearls in those rivers.in the centre of the rivers,golden hills would be shining.all through the year,trees would give fine scented flowers,tasty fruits.trees are kalpatharuvulu. They fulfil your wishes and desires.some tress give different types of dresses. Some other trees give navarathnams,ornaments for both women and men.some other trees give good beds. Some others give garlands,fooda nd drinks. Some other trees give young and beautiful women.

Gandharvulu,kinnarulu,kimpurushulu,siddhulu,nagulu,vidyaadharulu come there with their women and enjoy there.pleasant and melodious music would be heard there.every one would be happy there all the time.

In the direction of North

Sugreeva called Sathavali and started telling him about northern side.Sathavali!you take one lakh vaanaraw arriors and your ministers and move towards northern side where Himalayas are there. Search for Seetha there.we have taken Ramas help. if we can find Seetha,we can reciprocate his help to us.Sree Rama is a great soul.every one prays him.he loves us very much.so we should do his work with utmost sincerity.you search for Seetha in river beds,banks,in forests,in mountains,and every where.Mlechcha,Pulinda,Soorasena,Prasdhala,Bharatha,Madra,Dakshinakuru,Kaambhoja,Yavana,Saka,Aarattaka,Baahlika,Rushika,Pourava,Tankana,Cheena,Paramacheena,Vihaara and Darada countries are there to be searched.yous earch in the Himalayan mountain ranges again and again.you examine forests,rivers and plateaus there in that mountain range.
After that you visit Somaasramamu.from there you start to Kaala mountain.you have gold mines there.you go to Sudarsana mountains from there.after that you can search in Devasakha mountain.after that for some distance,there are no mountains,rivers and trees. It is very dark. You have to cross it fast.after that,you can see Kailash mountain. You would feel happy just seeing it.you can find Kuberas palace in that Kailash mountains.Viswakarma built that palace.near that palace you can see lotus pond filled with lotus flowers.swans will be roaming in that pond.Apsarasas would be coming there to relax.that is Kuberas abode.above that you would come across Krouncha mounatin. It is very difficult to pass through that cave. You should be alert. Many sages live there.after reaching tip of the Krouncha parvatham,you would find Kama parvatham. There are no trees and shrubs there.after crossing that mountain,there is Maanasa mountain where there are all kinds of birds.deities,demons or raakshasas...no one can go there. You should be alert whiles searching there.after crossing Krouncha mountain,you can see Mainaaka mountain.king of demons,Mayudu,lives there.his palace is there. He himself built that mansion.Kinnera women live there.

About Meru parvatham on western side

After some distance from Chakravanthamu mountain, we come across Varaahagiri mounatin in the ocean.we can find Praagjyothisha city there.it is the abode of Narakaasura. yous hould searchthere for Seetha ,thoroughly.after you cross that,you would reach Meghavantha mountains.that place is filled with goldevery where.deities have enthroned Indra on this mountain.so,Indra would be ruling this mountain.after you crossthis,you can find sixty thousand hilled mountain range.Souvarni Meru parvatham isin the middle of that mounatin range.because of the effect of Sun,trees there would be shining in golden hue.Gandharvas,deities would be glowing with golden sheen.Viswadevathalu,Maruththulu,Ashtavasuvulu would come here at dawn and dusk to perfoem upasdhaanamu.Sun would recieve their prayers and dip nearsthagiri and bevomes invisible.Actually Asthagiri is thousand yojanas distant from Meru parvatham but Sun reaches it within a ghadiya ie a second.on that mountain you can find Varunas palace. viswakarma built that palace also.In between Meruparvatham and Asthagiri,you can find ten headed thaala vruksha.it is full of gold and shines with many hues and colors.great sage,Meru Saavarni lives in Saavarni Meruparvatham.you have to search all the secret places,lakes there.You salute to that great sage and enquire about Seethas where abouts.Vaanaras can go to these places only. They cannot go to other places beyond that place.Wedo not know about those places.
You have to go upto Asthadri and search for Seetha and find out Ravanas abode and come bavk within one month. If you do not return within one month you will be given death penalty.
You are all great warriors.you work under the leadership of my uncle,Sushenudu,and come out succesful.you act there according to the situations that arise there intelligently and complete the work.

Sugreeva explains western side

Sugreeva is telling Sushenudu,father of Thaara.uncle!you take two lakh vaanara warriprsa nd search on the western side.you should search Baahlika desamu,Suraashtramu,Soora and Kukshi countries.after crossing rivers on the western side,forests and mountains,you will come across dry area full of rocks and no water.after that you can see western sea.on the banks of that sea you can see coconut trees and some herbs.you search towns like Muracheepattanamu,Jateenagaramu,Avanthi,Angalopa and garden named Alakshitha.at the convergence of Sindhu river into the sea,there is huge mountain ,named Hemagiri.it is in the centre of the ocean. On this mountain,there are winged lions.they eat elephants and thimulu. They keep them in their cavesand eat them.there is Paariyaathra mountain near by  ,in that sea.on that mountain twenty four crore Gandharvas reside. Do not go there.you should not pluck fruits from the trees there.they are protected by Gandharva warriors.you have to search there also,but be careful.if you are righteous in yours earch,gandharvas would not harm you.
After a distance from that place,you can see a mountain named Vajramu.you search for Seetha there also.after crossing threefourths of thesea,you can see a mountain named Chakravanthamu.viswakarma created thousand petalled chakraayudham on this mountain only.at one time,in a fight between demonsa nd deities,Vishnu killed Panchajanudu and Hayagreevudu.Vishnu acquired Panchajanyam and Chakram for having killed demons panchajana and Hayagreeva.

Sugreeva encourages vaanara warriors to search Seetha

Sugreeva is teeling still.from Kunjara parvatham,if you still proceed you would come across Rushabhaparvatham.you can see many colored sandal wood trees.you should not touch those trees.Gandharvaas called Rohithulu would be protecting them.five gandharvas would be living there.they are Sailooshudu,Graamani,Sigrudu,Subhrudu and Babhrudu.people who have dedicated their entire lives to do good deeds would reach punyalokas. They would be living in Rushabhaparvatham.after this place there are pithrulokam and capital of Yamaloka are there.it is dark and you can not go there. Hey warriors!you search thoroughly in what all the places I told you to search.You come with the news that tou have found the whereabouts of Seetha.who ever comeswithin a month would be amply awarded.I will declare him to be equal to me . He can enjoy his future life and be happy enjoying all the pleasures. He would be the most sorted man for me.he is more great than my own life to me.even if does many wrongs,he would be my man for ever. Hey vaanara warriors! You are all strong and valiant.you are all born in great dynasties.you put forth your utmost calibre and talentands earch for Seetha and come out successful.

Still more places to be searched in southern direction

Sugreeva is explaining further.hey vaanara warriors!if you go further ,you would come across sahya parvatham named Ayomukhamu. You search there thoroughly.after that you would see Kaveri river.its waters are very clear. Apsaras pray Kaveri waters.then you will come across malaya mountains.Agasthya maharshi lives on that mountain.you go there,take his blessings and then proceed further.after that you would come across river Thaamraparni. It is full of crocodiles.so,you have to be cautious while crossing that river.then you can see Pandya nagaram. After a distance from there,you can see the sea. After reaching the ocean,you have to think for your selves the plan of action.Mahendra mountains are near by the ocean.Devendra,deities,yakshas,siddhas, chaaranas and apsarasas come here daily.may be to bathe.after that place,you can come across an island.you have to search very thoroughly.it is the living place of Ravana. In that ocean,there is a demon ,named Angaaraka. It attracts the shadow of you and kills you later.you should be careful of that demon.after crossing that island ,you would come across a hill,named Pushpithakamu.siddhas and charanas would be coming here. This hill has two peaks,one is golden peak and the other is silver peak.Sun prays the golden peak and moon prays the silver peak.this hill can not be seen by ungrateful people,those who do not believe in God and for nrusamsulu.you salute that hill and start searching for Seetha. After that you would come across hills named Sooryavanthamu and Vaidyuthamu. Fruits in these hills are very juicy and are present all through the year. You eat fruits and drink nectar there and then proceed. After that you would come across Kunjara mountain. Viswakarma has built a beautiful palace for Agasthya maharshi. There id a city called Bhogavathi,there. Vasuki,king of serpants lives there.you search for Seetha,there.

In southern direction

Sugreeva directed some of the best warriors in the direction of east and selected few more efficient warriors to search in the direction of South.Neeludu,Hanumanthudu,Jambavanthudu,Suhothrudu,Saraari,Saragulmudu,Gajudu,Gavaakshudu,Sushenudu,Rushabhudu,Maindudu,dvividudu,Vijayudu,gandhamaadanudu,Ulkaamukhudu,Asangudu,Angadudu and many other great warriors were among those selected to search in the direction of south.All of them had to work under the leadership of Angada. Sugreeva explained to them the topography in this manner.Hey warriors!you in southern direction.there are thousand hooded Vindhya mountains in that region.Rivers like Narmada,Godavari,Krishnaveni,Varadaa,Mekhalaa,Uthkala are there. You search there thoroughly and search in the cities and towns of the country Dasaarnava desam.you search Aswavanthini and Avanthi cities. You go to Vidarbha,rushikadesam,Maahishikadesam,Kousikadesam,dandakaaranyamu,river Godaavari,Andhra,Pundra,chola,kerala,pandya countries and search thoroughly.

Vali explains vanaras the places on Eastern side

Vali is explaining the vanaras the areas on the eastern side.If you cross iKSHUSAMUDRAM,YOU WOULD COME ACROSS mADHUSAMUDRAM AND SAALAMALEE DVEEPAM IE ISLAND.GARUTHMANTHA lives there.It is built by Viswa karma.It is majestic like Kailasam.In Saalamalee dveepam there are demons named Mandehulu.At the time of sunrise,those demons would fall into the sea due to the effect of Gayahthri manthram.Due to heat of the sun,they would come up from the sea later. After you cross Saalamalee dveepam,you would come across Ksheera samudram.In the centre of Ksheera samudram,there is white Rushabha mountains.There is a pond named Sudarsanam in that place.In that pond,you would see silver lotus flowers with golden fine hair on them. Deities and Apsaras roam there.After crossing Ksheera samudram,you would come to drinking water sea.badanagni ie fire caused due to anger of Ourvudu is still there in that sea.Sea animals would cry for fear of that fire and we can clearly hear their cries. After a long distance from there, we come to Kanaka mountains ie golden mountains.There we can find thousand headed Addiseshudu ie snake.On the tip of that mountains,we can see golden three headed flag.Thrimoorthulu,ie Brahma,Vishnu and Siva consider it as the farthest tip on the eastern side. If you cross this,we come to Udaya mountains.It is very tall and almost touches Swargam.Gardens are very beautiful and attractive.On this mountain ,there is a tip named Sowmanasa hill.It is said that Vishnuvu,in the Vaamanaavathara ,kept his first foot on this tip.Second step he put it om Meru mountain tip. We can see the sun only after the Sun circumscribes from Jambu dveepam to Sowmanasa mountain top.On this mountain,sages called Vaikhaanasa and Vaalakhilyulu live happily.Here,there is an island named Sudarsanam.Since,Sun rises here in the morning on the direction of Brahma,this palce is called as Poorva disa.To the eastern side of Udaya mountains,sun and the moon do not revolve. So,it is dark there. Only deities move here. Hey vanaras!you search well in all these places.You should go till the point of Udaya parvatham and search there for Seetha and Ravana and return within one month.If you fail come within that stipulated time, you would be given death penalty.If are succesful in your mission,you can enjoy your future life happily.

Sugreeva directs vaanara warriors

Sugreeva told Rama that all these warriors could move not only on land ,but also on water.They are patriots.Rama was happy and hugged Sugreeva.Sugreeva!first we to arrive at two points.Is Seetha alive still?Where is the residence of Ravana?Sugreeva!know one thing. You are the leader and you to direct these armies. Neither myself nor Lakshmana are going to interfere in this mission.You direct them as you please. Sugreeva called Vinatha and told him.Vinathaa!you take one lakh soldiers with you.search entire eastern side for Seetha.You have to find out Ravanas abode.You search mountains, forests,rivers and plains.You search Ganga,Sarayuvu,Kousiki,Yamuna,Saraswathi,Sona and other rivers and their banks.Be alert and careful and search Mahi,Kaalamahi,Brahmamaala,Videha,Maalava,Kaasi,Kosala,Magadha,Pundra,AND Vanga kingdoms.You search the islands and mountains which are in the middle of the seas. You search in the cities.You go to Mandara mountains and there are maneaters in some islands there. You keep searching in such places also. There are islands named Yavadweepam and Suvarnaroopyakamu. If you cross Yavadweepam,you would come across Sisiraparvatham.There deities and demons would be roaming.If you cross the sea,you would see Sona river,where water would be in the color of blood red. There sages would be living.You do not leave any place. search every place.There are Plaksha dweepam and Ikahusamudram. There demons would swallow people by seeing there shadows even.

Sugreeva comes to Sree Rama

Sugreeva sent his women into the castle.He went To Sree Rama along with Lakshmana. He on Sree Ramas feet.Sree Rama hugged him and talked to him. Sugreeva!King should be alert all the time and act accordingly.If he forgets everything and involves in lust only all the time,It is as if a man who is sleeping at the tip of a branch would first fall down and then gets up from sleep.King is successful only if he can make good friends and is capable of killing his enemies.Time has come to start rooting out enemies.You discuss with your ministers the action plan. To these words of Rama,Sugreeva talked in a quiet voice. hey King Rama!I acquired this kingdom,this fame with your help only. I did not forget this.I also know that if I can not reciprocate the goodwill,I would be a useless fellow.I am concentrating on your mission only.I have called for great vanara warriors from all over the world.They are sure to find Ravana,kill him and bring back Seetha to you.You rest assured. Rama was happy to hear these words from Sugreeva. Sugreeva!there is nothing special if Indra brings rain and Sun drives away darkness from this world. Similarly ,a good friend like you ,it is not surprising if you help me out with my problem.It is not at all difficult to defeat my enemy with your help. In the mean time,vanara armies came there in crores.Sathavali came from Meru mountains with ten thousand crore vanaras.Sushenudu,father of Thaara,Thaarudu,father of Ruma,Kesari,Father of Hanumantha and Gavaakshudu ,king of another variety of MONKEYS,came with crores of army .Dhoomrudu came with two thousand crore bears.Panasudu,Neeludu,Gavayudu,Dareemukhudu,sons of Asawni deities..Mainda and Dvividudu,Jambavanthudu,Gajudu,Rumanvudu,Gandhamaadanudu,Angadudu,Thaarudu,Indrajaanudu,Rambhudu,Hanumanthudu,Naludu,Dadhimukhudu,Sarbhudu,Kumududu,Vahni,Ramhudu,and other leaders came with their huge armies. Sugreeva handed over all these armies to SreeRama.

Sugreeva reveals his plan of action

Lakshmana was completely pacified by Sugreeva and Thaaras words. He exclaimed. Sugreeva!You are a good friend to Raama.You are fit to be a king to Vaanaras.With your help,Sree Raama is sure to defeat his enemy shortly.You spoke like a good samaritan, gratefuland valiant person.Except my brother,no other person can speak like that.Please come fast and pacify my brother.I am unable to see his sorrow. I could not control his wailings. So,I talked to you in harsh tone.Please accept my apologies.Hanumantha was by their side at that time. Sugreeva directed hANUMANTHA. Hanumantha!call our people.you also call those who are staying at Mahendragiri,Hamalayas,Vindhya mountains,and other such mountains,those are in the forests,caves and other places.I have already sent my people to those places.But you send the best people to call them fast.If they do not come here by ten days,I am going to punish them with death penalty. Hanumantha did as was directed to him. Ambassadors returned saying that all were coming soon.Lakshmana is asking in smoother tones that they should go to Sree Rama.

Thaara and Sugreeva lessen Lakshmanas anger

Thaara startedtalking to Lakshmana. Lakshmana!be cool!Do not talk ill of Sugreeva.He is not ungrateful.He is not a liar.He is not wicked.He got back his kingdom and his wife because of Ramas help only.Sugreeva had been single for a very long time and he had suffered a lot.Now,he got the opportunity to relax and enjoy his life with his wife.So,he forgot how time passed away.Do you not know that Viswamithra lived with Menaka for ten long years but thought that only a single day has passed?When the fate and mind set of great sages is like that,what would be the plight of ordinary people?Please excuse him.You are a great man. without thinking about pros and cons of a situation,you should not come to a rash conclusion.You should not get angry,without knowing the actual facts.First you cool down and consider his condition.You accept my prayer.For the sake of Ramas duty,Sugreeva is ready to sacrifice Ruma,me,kingdom,riches,treasures and any other thing on the face of this earth.He is sure to kill Ravana in war and bring back Seetha and unite Rama and Seetha.Army of vanaras is coming. Vali had told me earlier that without a huge army of vanaras,it would be very difficult to defeat Ravana.For your work only,Sugreeva is making all the arrangements to collect huge vanara army from various places. Lakshmana!first cool down and show mercy on us. Lakshmana cooled down hearing Thaaras words.Seeing Lakshmana in cool mood,Sugreeva regained his confidence. His drowsiness went away, He removed his garlands and stood before Lakshmana. Lakshmana!I never forgot the fact that because of Ramas help only I secured my kingdom.Whatever help I return back,it would never equal his greatness and magnanimity.Sree Rama is so great that with his looks itself ,he can kill Ravana and bring back Seetha. I am just his helper.He could kill Vali with a single arrow felling seven saala trees. Such a great warrior does not need a helper. I am just your servant.I am ready to follow you and walk behind you.Please forgive my mistake.Is there anyone on the face of this earth,who has not done any wrong? Lakshmanas anger disappeared completely with these words of THaara and Sugreeva.

Lakshmana loses temper

Lakshmana lost his temper seeing Sugreeva in that state. He started delivering the message given by Rama to Sugreeva.Sugreeva!the world respects that king who is strong,of good family,kind hearted,who has control over his senses,grateful,and tells truth all the time.It abuses that king who is unfair,does not live in right path,ungrateful person,as a sinner.If a person gives wrong information about a horse, he would have to face the sin of having killed hundred horses.If a person tells wrong things about a cow,it is as if he had killed thousand cows.If a man lies about a man,he would incur the curse and sin that equals if he had killed his kith and kin and committed suicide. There is nothing wrong in killing an ungrateful person.Regarding an ungrateful person,Brahma ,himself told like this.great sages have showed way out for those who had committed such sins like Brahmahathya,who indulges in drinking,a thief,and who has failed in completing his mission. But there is no forgiveness and way out for a person who is ungrateful. Hey vanaraa!you are a wicked person. You are ungrateful.If you had remembered the help Rama had bestowed on you,you would have already started searching for Seetha,by now.But you did not do it. You forgot yourself in materialistic pleasures and went back on your words.Rama could not recognise you as a serpant,but thought of you as a frog.Rama failed in identifying you as bad man and handed over this kingdom to you.If you forget the help rendered to you by Rama, I am definitely going to send you to Vali.Vali was killed and you are also going to face the same music in our hands.You are enjoying yourself ,without even thinking of your responsibility to search for Seetha.It seems you do not know the effect of Ramas arrow.

Thaara talks to Lakshmana

Even Thaara was drunk and in a drowsy condition.She reached Lakshmana direct from her bedroom.As soon as Lakshmana saw her,he was ashamed. He realised her condition and he could not lift his eyes to look at her in her present condition.But she was unaware of how she was looking. So,she started talking to without any shame or inhibitions.Hey prince!why are you so angry?Who disobeyed you?Name him and we will punish him! Lakshmanas anger dipped to the lowest ebb. He talked to her.Thaaraa!your husband,Sugreeva is always under the influence of alcohol.He forgot completely about us. He told us to wait for four months and he would search for Seetha. He is not even thinking about it.Drinking is injurious to health and difference between right and wrong is lost under its influence.If he forgets about the word he gave,what are we supposed to do? please tell us. To this,Thaara tried to pacify Lakshmana with her words.Lakshmana!Sugreeva is your well wisher all the time.He is your man. Is it justified to lose temper to this extent?if there is flaw or mistake,great people like you should pardon him.Iknow the reason behind your anger.I know the help you extended to Sugreeva. I also know what he is supposed to do in return for that favor.But he is under the influence of lust and sex.Seeing you,I can understand that you know nothing about the impact of lust and sex. Even great sages are its victims,many a time. And we are vanaras.A person ,who under the influence of lust does not care for anything....right and wrong,discipline and duty.please forgive your brother.Even in this state,he has not forgotten the word given to you. He gave directions to his ministers to collect and call for all the vanara warriors around the world. Lakshmana!please come into the palace.There is nothing wrong in visiting friends wives.Lakshmana went inside and saw Sugreeva,surrounded many women ,in disgust.They all stood up and saluted him.Sugreeva also stood up,saluted him and came to him.

Lakshmana goes to Sugreeva

Lakshmana took his bow and arrows and started to Kishklinda in anger.He was cutting trees and crumpling boulders and walking in long strides in full anger.All along the ,he was thinking what to talk to Sugreeva and how to answer if Sugreeva questions.in the outskirts of Kishkindha,vaanaras saw Lakshmana in angry mood. They too took boulders and tress in defense.Lakshmannas temper seeing their action.Vaanaras ran to Sugreeva and told him about Lakshmanas arrival in full temper. But Sugreeva did not take it seriously.He was enjoying love life with his wife,Thara.Some ministers of Sugreeva sent few warriors to know what is happening. Angada was among them. Lakshmana told Angada like this. Angada !convey these words to Sugreeva.Lakshmana could not withstand the sorrow and pain of Rama. So Lakshmana has cone and is waiting at the entrance door of Kishkinda.if you like ,please do as Rama tells you. Angada went to Sugreeva and told these words to him. But Sugreeva was not in a mood to hear those warnings. He was drowsing with alcohol effect.monkeys made shrill sounds and Sugreeva woke up,but still drowsy. at that time his ministers came and started talking to him. Hey King!you have two friends. They are good and pious people.Among them,one named Lakshmana has come and is waiting at the entrance.He is in full angry mood.You go with your family and seek his mercy.You act according to the wishes of Rama.Stand up on your word. In spite of ministers cautious words,Sugreeva could not understand why Lakshmana was angry.Sugreeva started blabbering.why is Lakshmana angry? I did not do anything wrong.I did not use any unspeakable word.may be my enemies told some wrong things about me.may be he took them to heart.All of you and know what is the real matter.I need not be afraid of either Rama or Lakshmana.But I am concerned that one of my friends is angry.It is easy to acquire a friend ,but it is difficult to retain him.Even for a trivial issue,friendship would lost at times.I enjoyed Sree Ramas help.But it is difficult for me to reciprocate his help.I am afraid of that matter. Hanumantha started to make Sugreeva see things in the right way.Hey king!to make you happy,Rama has killed Vali.Ramas anger is nothing to be worried. It is like anger of a lover.You gave word to him that you would search for Seetha in winter . But you have not started. May be Lakshmana came to remind that winter has set in already.Rama is in a sad mood because he is unable to find his wife. to remind you regarding the word you gave to him,may be he sent Lakshmana to you.You have to bear their anger.You are in the wrong because you have not kept up your word.so,go to Lakshmana ,salute him and plead for his forgiveness. Minister should never hide actual facts to the king.So,we are telling the truth and we are not afraid of it.You know Sree Ramas valor.If he releases his arrow in anger,entire world come in to his fists.Be careful not to make him angry.even otherwise,you profited and received much help from him.You go to Rama,fall on his feet and be loyal to him as wife is loyal to her husband.never over cross the limits written by you.Rama and Sugreeva bonded their friendship keeping fire as the auspicious alibi.So,Hanuma has used these words of wife and husband in their relationship.Rama has hugged Sugreeva many a time in friendship. Lakshmana reached the chamber of Sugreeva. music and songs were heard from inside.that room was filled with young women.Lakshmana was shy of hearing anklets sounds from inside.He made big sound and went away from there and stood at a distance.Sugreeva heard that sound and was in tension with fear. He started talking to his wife,Thara. Thaara!can you understand anything with these developments?Lakshmana is always soft spoken and mild.Why is he angry now?Did I do anything wrong?If you anything,please remind me.Or else,you yourself go to Lakshmana and pacify him.great people never lose their temper before women.As soon as he sees you,he would become calm and composed.Then ,it would be easier for me to go and learn the real facts behind his anger.

Rama sends Lakshmana to Sugreeva

Rama was in low key that day. He was talking to Lakshmana in this fashion.Lakshmana!I lost my kingdom and came to these woods.I lost my wife and in sorrow.Sugreeva has become the king and he is not thinking about me.May be he is under the impression that Rama has no where to go.Rama lost his kingdom,had been humiliated by Ravana and has come seeking my help.So,he is not caring me.Sugreeva has given us the word that he would start searching for in winter . But it seems he forgot it.He was clever enough to get his things straightened and forgot about our existence. Rama is directing Lakshmana to go to Sugreeva and say these words to him.Those who forget their words given to their well wishers are characterless people.whether once given the word,whether it be right or wrong,if keeps up his word,he is a warrior and valiant person.Even jackals would not touch the bodies of ungrateful people.If he wants to taste the pain of Sree Ramas arrows,he could do what he wanted. Lakshmana!Sugreeva is under the effect of drinking and sexual life with his wife.So,he is not showing any concern for us.You go and tell him that if he does not correct himself,he would go the same way as his brother,Vali,went. Lakshmana lost his temper hearing his elder brother talk in this manner.He replied him.Rama!this vanara ie monkey can not stand on its words.He is indulging himself in materialistic pleasures and has forgotten us.Such a characterless fellow is not fit to be a king.First of all,we should not leave him alive.I will go this very minute to kill him.Angada would help us in search for Seetha. Rama wanted to subside Lakshmanas anger. So he talked in pacified tones.Hey younger brother!is it justifiable to talk like that about your friend?would any one kill ones friend?I know you like him very much.It is a fact that action has been delayed.Why are you getting so angry to such a trivial thing?Go to him,talk to him in a pleasant manner and see that things get started smoothly.

Rama pines for his love life

Winter has crept in.Sky was clear.Moon was shining bright in the sky.Sree Rama started missing Seethas presence.He did not know any thing about her where abouts.Sugreeva was indulging in love life to the utmost extent.Rama fainted thinking too much about Seetha.He regained after sometime and wept for her. I am unable to control my frustration. Seetha ,too,would be pining for my presence.Lakshmana came there and started consoling Rama. Rama!how long are you going to grieve ?Nothing is going to happen by grieving like this.Be active and positive.You should be couragious. You should not lose faith.As long as you are her husband ,no one is going to take away Seetha from you permanently.If any one tries to hold fire, he is definitely going to get burnt soon. Rama acknowledged that Lakshmana was right.He got control over himself.Indra gave rain. Rain has washed over mountains and they are clean and colorful. He is feeling that rivers are running over high places and they are appearing like butts of newly married women.Swans are playing with their partners. They mate for life.Evry thing is beautiful and colorful. Time has approached when kings wage war against another.But Sugreeva is no where to be seen.It seems he had not done anything in our issue.For me, these four months of rainy season is appearing like hundred years. It is so difficult to pass time without Seetha. Seetha came to the woods along with with so much ease as if she were coming to a garden with me for relaxation.what a pity!

Sugreeva in relaxed mood--Hanumas caution

Sugreeva was in relaxed mood.He wanted to enjoy life.He entrusted his official duties to his ministers. He never left his castle. He was living happily with his wife,Ruma and Thaara.Rainy season has ended.Sky has become clear. Hanuma observed this change in nature.He is trying to tell Sugreeva about Raamas mission to search for Seetha. Hey king!You have regained your kingdom.You are now now having power and fame.But one thing is still pending. You have to fullfil the word given to a friend.Please complete that also.A king can not succeed if he loses his good friends.Nothing bad will happen to that person,who keeps his personal interests aside and completes friends work.Try to find out Seethas where abouts.Sree Rama is a great man.He would adjust according to your mind set.He would never come and ask you that time is over and that you have to start search for Seetha.So,before he tells you this,please get into action.If we do after he tells and reminds us,It is as if we had not done our duty properly and in time. You are a good natured person.YTou help even those ,who do not do you any good. But in this case, you have recieved help from him in securing your kingdom and your wife.So,be prompt and start action.Sree Rama can win the entire world by the strength of his arrows.But,since you have promised to help him in this issue,he is waiting for you.Though he had no rivalry with Vali,he killed him just because of you. never forget that gesture. We should start fast. call vanara warriors.do not delay. Hearing these words,Sugreeva called his minister,Neeludu.He directed to call all the warriors and agents. If they did not turn up before fifteen days ,they would be punished. Saying these words, Sugreeva again went to enjoy life with his wife.

Rama with wavering mind

Rama is trying to think positively. He is replying Lakshmana.Lakshmana!are you seeing the clouds in the sky?They are looking like mountains.Sun rays are absorbing waters from the seas and is looking like full term pregnant woman,delivering rain.Clouds are looking like steps ,on which we can easily reach the sun and decorate him with garlands.White clouds are looking red during sunset and appearing as if sky is wounded and it has bound the wound with white cloth.slow breeze is like exhaling with frustration and sky is appearing to be a woman in frustration for her lover. Parched and dry land is releasing hot vapours when rain is falling on it.Earth is appearing like Seetha,who is weeping for her husband.waterfalls,and fragrance of the flowers is reminding me of Sugreevas enthronement.Lightning among black clouds is appearing as if Seetha is sitting on Ravanas lap. These nights,where there is neither moon nor stars ,might be congenial for lovers.All these trees,flowers,natures beauty,...every thing is reminding me of Seetha and my frustration for her presence is increasing minute by minute.Do you see these peacocks and hens/ Some sre dancing,some are making noises and others are idly sitting and watching others. It is as if musical night in on the go here. Bharatha would have brought all the necessary ingredients before rainy season started.When ever I go some where and return to Ayodhya,people of Ayodhya give sounding welcome and Sarayu river would be flowing fast at this time of the year. Sugreeva has acquired what ever he wanted.Now,he is happy and enjoying with his wife.Where as I have lost my wife ,my kingdom. I am like a bank which had been damaged by the force of the strong currents of rivulets.Lakshmana!I am unable to bear this sorrow.It is not easy for me to pass over this rainy season.Ravana is an impeccable foe. Can I win over him?Can we pass over these difficulties and live happily? See!Sugreeva had been away from his wife for a very long period. So,he is not thinking of us,now. He is involved in enjoying himself with his wife.Would he care to think of us at least in winter? Lakshmana could not pacify his brother. but,still he tried. Rama!be patient. Sugreeva is sure to stand on his given word.Please wait till the arrival of winter.

Rama trying to recoup himself

Lakshmana could take no more of Ramas sorrow ful state. He admonished his brother to come out of that state.it is not good to be in that sorrowful state all the time. work will be hampered by such moods.you are a righteous person. You are not an idle person.If you persist in this mood,can you Kill Ravana?so,Come out of this depression.set your self in to action. Terminate entire Ravanas family.You have the power to tilt the entire universe. Killing Ravana is nothing to you.But have have patience till winter sets in.Then kill Ravan. I am telling all this to awaken you from your slumber. Rama felt encouragement from these words of Lakshmana. He appreciated his brother for reviving him.He told Lakshmana that he would wait and hoped that Sugreeva would come to their help in times of need. Lakshmana encouraged his brother that Sugreeva was sure to help him. He had wait till rainy season came to an end.

Rama and Lakshmana reside at Prasravanagiri

Rama set about searching for appropriate place to reside at Prasravanagiri.Lakshmana!see this cave!Thiscave is beautiful and wide.Air blowing with reasonable speed.We can stay here during rainy season comfortably.Hills,running waters,trees, and creepers are beautiful here.lotus pond is also near by.rocks are smooth near the mouth of the cave and are nice to look at.River flowing towards east side.All kinds of trees ,which are on the banks of the river are appearing as if a woman has adorned her self with colorful clothes and ornaments.This river is full of birds,birds in pairs,and swans. this river is appearing like a beautiful woman laughing and smiling all the time.Rama is away from his loving wife. in every thing beautiful,he is seeing a feminine form. Lakshmana!did you see those flowers? some are blue,some are red and some are white.sandal wood trees and other trees are in such beautiful rows that one would think ,they are grown by man in rows correctly.Lakshmana !this place is very nice. We can live comfortably here.Kishkindha is also near by.WE can hear the instrumental music and of peoples laughter. Rama and Lakshmana started living there. But Rama was not happy.He was always thinking of Seetha and in sorrow.He was unable to sleep during the nights.His frustration is increasing when moon shines during the night. Lakshmana could not withstand his brothers sorrow any more. he tried to make him see reason.

Sugreeva enthroned

Hanumantha came to Rama and addressed him.Hey Ramaprabhu!with your help Sugreeva could secure his kingdom.With your permission,he would enter Kishkindha and get enthromed. He would pray you with diamonds,flowers and ornaments.So,please come to Kishkindha and be honoured by us. To this Rama replied. Hanumanthaa!I am following my fathers orders to live in forest for fourteen years, During this period I would not enter any civilized community like village or city.So,all of you go and complete the formalities and enjoy. He turned towards Sugreeva and gave him permission to get enthroned.He directed him to make Angada ,the prince ,officially.Be prepared to start for Ravana vadha as soon as Kaarthika maasam arrives.remember it.All the vaanaras went and celebrated properly and pompously.Sugreeva became the king and had his wife,Ruma ,back.Sugreeva came to Rama and Lakshmana and told them of the happenings at Kishkindha and returned back. Rama and Lakshmana came to Prasravanagiri and stayed in a cave there.

Rama consoles Thaara on Valis death

Rama felt sorry for Thaara ,who was weeping for her husband. He tried to console her.Thaara!you are a wife of a warrior.You should not be like this.As per Brahmas direction only,every thing moves and happens in this world.Accordingly,happiness and sorrow come to us.No one can escape fate.You will be happy in short time.Your son is going to be a prince shortly.Rama was as unhappy as Thaara and Angada were.At the same time,he was consoling all of them.How ever we might weep,nothing good is going to happen to Vali.So,it is better if we start attending to his last rites.Time is very powerful. No one can dodge it.Time has no relations.It has neither reason nor rhyme.We should think philosophically .We are bound by the rules and regulations of time. Because Vali was a great man,he went to heaven.One need not feel sorry for Vali. It would be better if we start his last rites. Lakshmana took the initiative and started giving orders to Sugreeva. Sugreeva!start and do not delay. Now,this city is in your hands.Give them the appropriate directions. Do not be desolate and depressed.Let Angada regain courage and confidence. Arrange garlands,cloth,timber,Ghee,oil,spices and condimentsand other items needed for Valis last rites. He directed Thaarudu to go and bring carriage to carry Valis corpse.When he brought it,Lakshmana instructed Sugreeva to keep the body in the carriage and decorate it aptly. Sugreeva gave directions to his ministers to arrange things in such a fashion that is appropriate for a great man and King of Kishkindha.All the last rites were accomplished correctly and with fervor.Sugreeva and his aides came and saluted Rama after every thing was over.

Thaara pines Vaalis loss

Thara is weeping beside Vaalis dead body.Oh my husband!You did not hear my words.Now you lying in this dirt and on the ground.So many warriors died in your hands. It is fate to be killed in the hands of Sugreeva.An intelligent man never his daughter to a warrior in marriage.It is true. See my plight now! I am standing here as your widow.How many number of sonsI do have, How many riches I do acquire, People will call me a widow,who lost her husband.Naadhaa!I am unable to hug you properly. Your body is spilled with blood and my hands are slipping while trying to hold you. Ramas arrow is still struck in your chest which is stopping me from from embracing you to my satisfaction. Hearing this,Neeludu took out Ramas arrow from Valis chest.Thara turned towards her son and told him to salute his father ,one last time.Angada did as was told by his mother and stood crying for his father. Sugreeva felt guilty of killing his brother.He turned towards Rama and wept like this. Rama!you discharged your duty of killing Vali and giving kingdom to me.But I am not happy.I am unable to see Thaaras sorrow.Angada would also not believe me,I killed my own brother.I do not want this kingdom. Earlier,I thought that Vali should die and I should become the king of Kishkindha.But Now I realise that I did not act fair.I killed a great man like Vali. So many times in the past, Vali defeated me ,but never killed me.But I connived with you to kill him.I am a sinner.I am unfit to rule the country.I will die. My followers would help you find Seetha. Thaara guessed who Rama was and addressed him.Rama!yo are a great man.You have patience.You killed Vali with single arrow.Kill me also and let me go to my husband.You too know how difficult it is for a young man to leave his wife and live.Do not be afraid that if you kill me,you would become a sinner .You feel that I am the soul of Vali.You feel that you have done a great thing by giving Vali his wife,and he need not be a loner.I can not live without Vali.

Hanuma pacifies Thaara

Thaara fainted near her husband,wailing for his loss.Hanumantha intervened and said few good words to her. Every one has to go through life as it comes.They have to accept the fruits of their doings.One has to think of ones self but not of others.Our bodies are temporary.You have a son.Think of him and his welfare.You think about what is good for Vali and do it.Do not wail for his loss.Vali is sure to go to heaven!You need not be sorry for Vali.Now,you are the master of entire Vanara kingdom.Help Angada in ruling this kingdom.Make Angada do last rites to his father.Make Angada ,the king of Kishkindha.You can rest assured once Angada claims the throne. To these words of Hanuma,Thara replied that she wanted Vali to embrace and hug her and it was more to her than hundred such sons like Angada.I need not think of either Vali or Angada. Sugreeva is there to look after them.He is the one next to Vali. So ,he is responsible for every thing.What you said about me is wrong.I am not the right person to give any benefits to my son.Vali was the apt person.I wish to die with my husband. Vali was at the end of his tether.He was gasping for air.He looked on all sides and observed Sugreeva standing before Angada. He asked Sugreeva for forgiveness.Sugreeva1!forgive me for my ruthless atrocities against you. They have all been done in ignorance than with intention.I am about to die. You take over the kingdom .Angada is going to be an orphan. love him.Treat him as your own son.Angada is a good warrior.Make use of his talent in killing demons. Thara is a good natured woman and good charactered one. Pay heed to her advice.You attend to Ramas work with truthfulness.Otherwise,he might even kill you.Take this Kaanchanamaala. If I die,it will lose its capacity.Sugreeva wept at his brothers words and took the garland from his brother. Vali then addressed Angada.Angada!observe what is happening around you.Have patience.Obey the words Of Sugreeva.He would love you ,like me. Do not make friendship with Sugreevas enemies.Always,attend your duties with dedication.Have control over your senses.Too much is bad anywhere and every where.Make good friends. Saying so, Vali passed away. Vanaras wept for the loss of their king.Vali was praised as a great warrior. Vali fought with Golabha.a gandharva for fifteen years continuously and won over him in the sixteenth year.They were safe under Valis ruling all these years.Like this,they were wailing.

Thaara comes to war sight

Other monkeys were afraid of Ramas arrow. So they wet running to Thaara. She came to the war sight along with her son,Angada.She chided the monkeys for running away from Vali,while they had to protect their king.Sugreeva killed his brother because of his craze for his brothers kingdom. Vaanaras replied Thaara. Vali is already killed.But your son,Angada is still alive. Why are you going to the warfield along with Angada?Come back and close the doors to the city.Make Angada king of Kishkindha.If he is made the king all vaanaras would follow him.If you do not like to do that, run way far away from Kishkindha.sUGREEVA AND HIS AIDES WERE AFFECTED ADVERSELY BY vALI. They might harm you and your son.Protect yourself and your son from them. Thaara did not like their words. She lost a great warrior,her husband. She had no use of her son and the kingdom. They are immaterial.She has no interest in her body itself.I would lie before my husband.Saying so,and weeping aloud for her husbands demise,she ran to the war field.There,she saw the dead body of her husband.She also saw Rama standing with his bow and arrows near by.She saw Lakshmana and Sugreeva ,but crossed them and went to Vali. Angada followed her. She started wailing for husbands loss.OH my husband!why are you not talking to me?Is the earth so dear to you?You are hugging it and not turning towards me.Ah!my heart is so stubborn.It has not crushed into thousand pieces even after such calamity of losing husband. Oh dear one!you came to this despicable end just because you snatched your younger brothers wife and threw him out.I requested you not to do such heinous crimes.You did not pay heed to my advice.I am demoralised. My position is pathetic.Can Angada be safe in hands of Sugreeva who is angry with you? She turned towards her son and told him to see his father for the last time. He could never see him afterwards.She,the,turned towards Sugreeva and told him. Sugreeva!your wish has been accomplished with the help of Rama.Your elder brother is dead.You take back this kingdom,your wife and be happy.She wailed again that Vali was leaving his wives and his dear son,Angada.Please forgive me if I had done any unpleasant acts in the past.She wanted to die along with her husband.so,she fell down beside her husbands dead body.

Rama explains motive behind his act to kill Vali

Rama started replying Vali. Vali! youv are unable to distinguish between righteousness and lust. Unnecessarily you are blaming me.If you do not know,you should have learnt about it from elders. But you failed to do so.You have talked to me without knowing much and learning much.This entire world consisting of men,animals,birds and trees belongs to Ikshvaakula dynasty.It is ruled by a righteous king ,named Bharatha.We are moving about to propagate righteousness.If a person deviates from right path,he should be punished.There is no short cut to it.As per the directions of our king,Bharatha,we are punishing the wrong people. Vali!you have crossed your limits.Younger brother is like your son.It is very difficult to understand the rules of right and wrong.It should be felt by ones aathma ie soul.It can not be explained.You are a monkey.From your childhood,you have moved amidst monkeys only.what can a blind man think if he is with another blind person? I will tell you the reason,why I have killed you.Just to appease your lust,you snatched your younger brothers wife,whom you should have treated as a daughter in law.It is the ultimate of the crimes one can do.I punished you for your this heinous act. One more thing!relationship between Sugreeva and me is like that I have between myself and Lakshmana.In addition to this, I promised Sugreeva that I would kill you.So,I had to fulfill my word given to my friend.So,either way ,My act of killing you is justified.If you care to think deep,you will understand me.Great people who laid rules of right and wrong professed that if a person gets punishment for his wrong deeds,they would be absolved of their sins,and can go to Swarga.But if a king does not punish that person,the king would have take the blame for those sins.So,keeping all these things in view,I had punished you for your wrong deeds.Bu this,both of us have benefited. I will tell you one more reason for my behaviour. Kings are know to lay traps for wild animals when they go for hunting and kill them from behind.Similarly I have hunted you and killed you.I need not fight with you. This itself is the war. Deities ,when born in this world ,become kings and rule the nation.maintain law and order.Protect righteousness.So,you can never blame kings. Vali understood his folly by hearing Ramas words. He pleaded with Rama ,for his unmindful and rash talk, for forgiveness.Rama!I neither care for myself nor Thara. But I am concerned about my one and only son,Angada. He would be depressed by my death. He is a small boy.You have take him under your protection.You shower him the same love towards Sugreeva and Angada,which you give to Bharatha and Lakshmana.See that Sugreeva does not humiliate Thara for my wrong deeds. Rama have him word that Sugreeva and he would treat Angada like a son.He need not worry aboutAngadas safety.

Valis defeat

Vali and Sugreeva fought like cats and dogs. Sugreeva could not face his brother.He was looking at Rama repeatedly. Rama released his arrow which struck at his chest.Vali did not die because of the effect of Kanchanamala given by Indra to him.Rama and Lakshmana reached him. Vali accused Rama for his heinous act of attacking him while he was fightin with another person.I heard you were a great soul.Kings are supposed to have all the good qualities and they should kill only the wronged ones.Thara cautioned me against you. But I never felt that you would behave so mean with me.I thought you had character. You were fair. I never came to your kingdom.I never even harmed you.I did not come to fight with you.I am a vanara,a monkey.People say that for enmity to breed ,land,gold and silver are the main causes.But we do not have any such issues between us.Just because you have a bow and arrows,you can not kill anyone who comes across your way.You do not have any righteousness. How can you explain this act of yours to elders?My flesh and bones are of no use to you.My skin is also of any use to you. Then why did you kill me?How can a sinner like you be born to a great man,like Dasaradha? You showed yourcalibre in killing people like me.But you failed utterly in defeating your enemy.If I had seen you earlier,you should have already been dead by now. It is as if you killed a peaceful guy who had taken bath and sleeping under a tree.without any tension.like a cruel snake. You had killed me by hearing Sugreevas complaint against me. But if you had approached me earlier,I would have killed Ravana and brought your Seetha with in a day.It is fair that Sugreeva claim his kingdom after my demise. But the you killed me is not justifiable at any cost.If you have any fair explanation to your deed,please tell me.

Vali challenged to fight with Sugreeva,second time

Sugreeva and Lakshmana were walking in the front.Rama,Sugreeva and his ministers were walking behind.They reached a place where trees were very dense.Sree Rama asked Sugreeva to tell about the place. Rama is very inquisitive with high observation powers. Even from his childhood, we observe that whenever he comes across any thing new to him, he would simply collect the correct information from his Gurus,friends,and aides. Sugreeva started explaining him.Rama!this place is called Saptha janulu,sages abode.Sages do vaayu bhakshanam once in a week and do penance.Those sages did penance like that for seven hundred years and went to swarga with their bodies.It is a very powerful aasramam.No one can enter it. Even if anyone enters it, they will not return back.Sweet music woulb heard all the time. Threthaagnulu would be burning all the time.Please,along with Lakshmana pay homage to those rishis. The we will not have any kind of pain or uneasiness in our bodies. Rama and Lakshmana saluted them with reverence and reached Kishkindha.Sugreeva again shouted to Vali to combat with him. Thara,wife of Vali ,did not like this unexpected turn of events. She requested her husband not to go for duel in the middle of the night.He could go and fight with Sugreeva,nextday morning. She doubted something fishy in Sugreevas behaviour.Sugreeva might have returned with more help. It was not an assumption. Angada had found out this information from his aides.Rama and Lakshmana,sons of king Dasaradha are accompanying him.Rama is a great warrior. No one can defeat him at war.He is knowledge bank.He is good charactered person.Please heed my advise. It seems Sugreeva is more powerful than you.Please ,welcome Sugreeva and make him the future king.Make friendship with Rama and Lakshmana.After all,Sugreeva is your brother. So,call Sugreeva. welcome him !Be friends with your brother!at present,you have no other option.Please hear my words!Do not make enmity with Sugreeva and Rama! But,Vali did not hear Tharas words. He said that it was better to die in a war than to sit quiet even after being called for a duel by enemy.I would defeat Sugreeva. Rama is a good charactered man. I have not harmed him. So,he would not kill me.Thara!do not be afraid! I will not kill my brother.I would defear him and come back. Saying so,Vali left his place and reached the place,where Rama and Sugreeva were waiting for him.

Sugreeva beckons Vali for fight

Every one went to Kishkindha and hid behind trees.Sugreeva gave angry calls to Vali railing him for fight.Vali came and they both fought.Sree Rama was ready with his bow and arrows. But he could not identify Sugreeva from Vali. Both looked alike.So,Rama did not release his arrow. Vali won the war.Sugreeva ran back to Rushyamooka mountains.Rama came there along with Lakshmana and Hanumantha. Sugreeva showed his discomfort to Rama. If he could not protect him, why did he encourage Sugreeva to go and fight with Vali? Rama requested Sugreeva to hear him first.He was about to tell him the reason for not killing Vali.He could not distinguish Sugreeva from Vali. If by mistake,he killed Sugreeva,instaed of Vali,it would be a complete disaster.Rama has accepted him as a friend, and in the next moment,if he kiils him, it would be a crime.In this forest,They wereunder his protection.In fact,he was their protector.If Sugreeva was in danger,what would happen to all of them?Thinking about all these things,Rama did not release his arrow. Rama encouraged Sugreeva to go and fight with Vali again. But,he should make sure that Rama could differentiate between the two.Rama,then,directed Lakshmana to adorn Sugreeva with a floral garland.Then he could identify him easily.Lakshmana did as his brother told him. Sugreeva and others started for Kishkindha.

Sugreeva confident about Ramas capacity to kill Vali

Sugreeva was once and again saying that it was very difficult to kill Vali. Then Lakshmana enquired Sugreeva as what Rama should do to bring confidence in Sugreeva.Then Sugreeva came out with two points. Rama should throw out Dundhubhis corpse to one yojanas distance with his toe. second one is ,he should release his arrow in such a fashion that it passes through one of the saala trees. Sugreeva turned towards Rama and pleaded with him.Rama!I am afraid of Vali.I am worried thinking of his capabilities.I had seen his strength with my eyes.But I had not seen you at war. So,I am worried whether you can equal him in strength and efficiency or not.I am saying these words with fear of Vali. I am not talking like this to humiliate you.Your physique proves your strength. Rama was not offended with Sugreevas words. He smiled and told him that he would show him his capacity. He threw the corpse of Dundhubhi to more than ten yojans distance.But Sugreeva still had his own doubts. He said to Rama.When Vali threw this body, it was wet and full of meat and muscle.It was heavy then. But now,it has dried up and has lighter weight.Vali was tired of fighting with Dundhubhi at that time. But now,you are neither tired nor tensed up regarding victory.So,one can not judge your strength by this act.So, please see that yourarrow passes through one of the sala trees.Rama released his arrow. It passed through all the seven sala tress,the mountain,and entered the earth and came out by tearing the ground and settled at his back. seeing this ,Sugreeva was awe struck. He laid hinself flat at the Rams feet and prayed him.Rama!I am now confident that you can kill Vali.Please kill VALI at this moment itself. Rama hugged Sugreeva and told him to go to Kishkindha first. Then told him to call Vali for a duel.

Sugreeva relates Valis strength to Rama

Birds of same feather flock together!Rama told Sugreeva not to worry. He would kill Vali ,as soon as he saw him.I too am undergoing same plight. So,I can understand your plight. To this,Sugreeva replied .Rama!I know fully well your might.You can terminate the entire universe with your arrows. But,still I want you to know VALIS STRENGTH.Vali rounds up all the oceans before sunrise.He can bounce big mountains as a ball in to the sky. He can break big trees with bare hands. At one time,there was a demon named Dundhubhi. He had the strength of thousand elephants.He had weakness for fight with equals. once,he went to war with samudra,the ocean.Samudrudu expressed his inability to fight with the demon. He directed him to Himavantha.Dundhubi went fast to Himavantha to fight with him. Himavantha told him that the mountains were meant for sages who did penance there. so,he could not fight him. The Dundhibhi asked him to show an able person with whom he could fight to his hearts content.Then,Himavantha told him to fight with Vali. Dundhubi came to Vali for fight.Vali adorned a golden garland given by Indra to him.They fought fiercely and Vali killed the demon in the end. Vali felt proud of himself and threw the dead body with such force that the body flew and fell at a distance more than one yojana.but the droplets of blood oozing from the demons body fell in Mathangas aasramam. Mathanga realised what had happened. He became very angry.He cursed Vali for his actions..If ever,Vali or his ides come near one yojana of Mathangaasramam ,they would all die ,without any mercy. He was giving them day to move out from that place. Vali came to know of Mathanga munis curse.He went to the sage to ask for his forgiveness.But the sage did not even see his face.With tha fear,Vali has left the place since then.That is the sole reason why I am staying in this place. You can still see the debris od Dundhubhis corpse. Rama!are you seeing the seven Sala vrukshas standing there?Vali is so powerful that his arrow whould pass through one of them easily.

Sugreeva tells about himself

Sugreeva started telling about himself to Rama.Rama!after my father died,My brother was crowned .I was always following in his footsteps.Regarding a woman,My brother and a demon,named Maayaavi,son of Dundhubhi,fought over a woman.One night,Maayaavi came and called Vali for a duel.Sugreeva and palatial women warned Vali not to go for fight during night time.But,Vali did not pay heed to their warnings. Sugreeva accompanied his brother for duel.Maayaavi was afraid of the brothers andran back.Vali followed him.Maayaavi entered a cave.Vali turned towards Sugreeva and told him to wait at the entrance of the cave till he came back.He went inside to kill Maayaavi.Sugreeva waited at the mouth of the came for almost a year.But VAli did not turn up.Blood was running out of thecave. Sugreeva heard Maayaavis roaring and Vali cries of help.Sugreeva thought that Maayaavi killed Vali. He felt that he should close the cave and see that Maayaavi did not come out of the cave.So,he fixed a big rock at the mouth of the cave.Sugreeva did last rites to his brother,thinking he was dead and returned back to Kishkhindha.He tried to keep death of his brother a secret,but his ministers found out some how. They made him the king of Kishkindha. But after some time,Vali returned.He became angry at seeing Sugreeva rule the kingdom.He jailed Sugreevas ministers. He blamed Sugreeva for all the wrong reasons. Though Sugreeva had power at that time,to contain Vali,Sugreeva requested him to take back the kingdom.He told him the actual reason for becoming the king. hIS ministers were afraid that unless there was an able king to rule the kingdom,unsocial people would take undue advantage. With that sole reason,his ministers prssurised him to take over the kingdom. He was not lusful to rule Valis kingdom.But Vali refused to see reason.His anger did not subside.He humilated and ill treated Sugreeva before others. Vali collected everyone and told him his story. I told Sugreeva to stay at themouth of thecave. He went inside to kill the demon,Maayaavi and his men.When he returned ,he was aghast to find that the entrance of the cave was closed strongly. He called for his brother.He shouted. he became emotional and wept.With utmost difficulty,he could come out of the cave. Sugreeva was ungrateful. He did not even remember that Vali was his elder brother. With utmost cruelty,he jailed him in the cave.Abusing him severely,Vali gave a piece of cloth to Siugreeva and sent him away from his kingdom.He snatched Sugreevaswife also.SUgreeva was afraid of his brother. He wandered all over the earth.At last ,he settled at Rushyamooka parvatham. He was safe there.Vali could not come to Rushya mooka parvatham for some reason.So,Sugreeva was residing there. ThIS WAS sUGREEVAS STORY. hE BESEECHED rAMA TO HELP HIM SOMEHOW.

Sugreeva explains greatness of friendship with good people

Sugreeva is happy.Rama!with your help I can win over even Indraprasdham.Winnig over monkey kingdom is nothing.A great soul like you ,had made friendship with me taking oath on fire .My people,friends,relations,and every one will now respect me.You too would slowly understand my nature and greatness also.I should not boast about my character.Friendship of great people would be consistent. They share every thing they have with their friends like gold,silver,clothes,ornaments and riches.whether he is rich,beggar,happy,unhappy,culprit or good ,a good friend would never leave his friend.A good friend sacrifices his riches,happiness and even life for the sake of a friend. Hey Rama!I am troubled by Vali. You have to help me from my hardships. Rama gave Sugreeva word that he would sort out his problems.There was nothing to worry. He would kill Vali. Vali reaffirmed that they made friendship taking oath on fire.So,he ragards Rama ,more than his life..Because he is sure that Rama is his good friend,he wants tell his problems to him.Vali is a vicious man. He had abducted his wife.He put Sugreevas friends in jail.He is making plans to put an end to Sugreeva.These four ministers are the only ones left to me.I am telling the truth.Unless Vali dies,there is no end to my troubles. Rama enquired Sugreeva,the reason why two brothers became foes. If he knew every thing,he could assess rightly as what to do.I am extremely sorry for the problems faced by you ,because of Vali.No sooner do I release my arrow,be sure that Vali is dead instantly.

Sugreeva builds confidence in Rama

Sugreeva started talking to Rama.Rama!I really do not know ,who that demon is. What is his capacity?But I promise you to find outSeetha and bring her to you.I will bring happiness to you by killing Ravana.A valiant person like you should never weep.It is not right.Look at me.I too lost my wife.But I never lost hope of regaining her back.When Monkeys like us can stay confident in the eye of difficulties,great people like you should be still more confident. Rama!leave this sorrow.Regain your confidence.Difficulties are prone to come in every ones life.If one gets into trouble,whether by loss of money,accident or addiction,a good charactered person should think all the pros and cons and should come out of it. He should not feel sorry for himself.I am praying you and requesting you.Come out of your sorrow this very minute. pleasure and valor get diminished if one is in sorrow.Please heed my words! Hearing these words ,Rama rubbed his tear filled face with cloth.He hugged Sugreeva. Sugreeva!it is very difficult to obtain a friend like you.That too,when I am in difficulties.I regained my confidence hearing to your good advice.Please start your ways to find Seetha.On behalf of you,I promise to kill Vali.I never tell lies.I am not going to tell lies even in future. I am saying these words taking oath. I will definitely kill Vali.

Sugreeva shows Seethas ornaments

Sugreeva helps in creating confidence in Rama .O KING RAMA!HANUMA TOLD me ABOUT YOUR tragedy.When you were not there,one demon kidnapped your wife.I will find out and bring back yoyr wife safely,where ever she might be.You come out of your sorrow.If we think back,I remember to have seen her earlier.One day,we saw a demon was taking a woman ,against her will.She was crying Rama !Lakshmana!While we were seeing, she tied some of her ornaments in to her pallu and threw it at us.I will bring that .You see if you can identify her ornaments. Rama was excited beyond control.He hastened Sugreeva to bring those ornaments.Sugreeva went into the cave and brought ornaments tied in pallu.Rama silently held that cloth bit and ornaments to his chest for sometime,weeping. Later,he addressed Lakshmana to identify those ornamnets.Lakshmana looked at them.He disclosed his inability to identify earrings,shoulder ornaments. He could identify ornaments pertaining to anklets and feet,because he was always bowing to her feet all the time. Rama turned towards Sugreeva and told him.You are saying that you have seen the demon.Do you know where he took her?Do you know his abode?Tell me and I will go and kill him now itself.

Rama and Sugreeva take oath for eternal freindship

Sugreeva came to welcome Rama. OH king Rama!Hanuma,vaayuputhra had told every thing about you.He explained your good qualities.He told me that you came seeking my friendship.I ain my hand m just a monkey.I feel honoured that you came here for my friendship.It is a good sign for me too.If you really want to be friends with me,accept my hand.You keep your hand in mine and bind our friendship.Sree Rama placed his hand in Sugreevas hand and hugged him.Hanuma brought fire in between them. Rama and Sugreeva turned three rounds around fire and bonded their friendship.They looked at each other again and again with affection and felt happy.Sugreeva and Hanuma brought branches from trees on which Rama and Lakshmana sat. Sugreeva then told about himself to Rama. Rama! now that we are friends,let us tell about ourselves. I am in great sorrow. I am suffering from fear complex all the time.My elder brother ,Vali had kidnapped my wife.I am afraid of him.So,I am wandering in the woods.You make me clear of fear from Vali.Rama replied him that the duty of a good friend is to help his friend.So ,he is sure to kill Vali,who has snatched his wife from him.Sugreeva was happy to hear these words of assurance from Rama.Sugreeva felt confident that he would get back his kingdom and his wife.

Rama and Lakshmana start to go to Sugreeva

Hanumantha was happy to note that Rama and Lakshmana intended to meet Sugreeva. He praised them.Actually,Sugreeva is supposed to come and greet people like you,who have character and stand. Instead you have agreed to meet him.It is a real honour to him.Even Sugreeva has lost his kingdom to his brother,Vali.He too lost his wife.Because of Vali only he is suffering now in the woods. Sugreeva is sure to come to your help in finding Seetha.We will all search for her. Lakshmana told his brother that the matter was settled for them. Because Sugreeva ,too,needed their help.So,they are sure to get help from Sugreeva and his people.Hanuma does look like he speaks false statements.Every one started to the abode of Sugreeva.Hanuma came out of his guise as bhikshu and came to original form of a monkey. He made Rama and Lakshmana sit on his back and took them fast to Sugreeva. He then went to Sugreeva and started telling him about Rama and Lakshmana. Oh King!Rama and Lakshmana have come here.Rama is from Ikshvaaku dynasty.To make his father trustworthy man,he came to the woods.His wife Seetha and his brother,Lakshmana have accompanied him to the woods.Ravana kidnapped Seetha when Rama and Lakshmana were not at home.Sree Rama has come to you,seeking your help.He wants your friendship.Rama and Lakshmana are respectable people.You treat them with respect and make friendship with them. Sugreevas tension that they might harm him dissipated with Hanumas words. He felt happy and took the form of a human .He came to greet Rama and Lakshmana.

Lakshmana pleads Hanumantha for Sugreevas help

ON RAMAS direction,Lakshmana opens up and tells about them.Hanumantha!We have already heard about Sugreevas character.We are in search of him.We would act according to your wish.Hanumantha heard these words of Lakshmana and felt happy. He was sure that these two had work with Sugreeva and so in short time,Sugreeva would get back his kingdom.He addressed to Rama as to the reason behind their coming to the woods in that attire.\ Lakshmana started to tell about their family.There is a king named Dasaradha.He did many yanjnas and gave many donations. He is a pious man.THis man is the eldest son of KING DASARADHA.His name is Rama.He lost his kingdom and came to live in woods for twelve years.His wife,Seetha and me,his younger brother,have accompanied him.My name is Lakshmana.I like his character .So,I accompanied him to the woods.One demon had kidnapped my sister in law.Kabandha directed us to sugreeva to know about her where abouts. We have no other one to rely upon other than Sugreeva.Our Rama had given many donations in the past to many people.But now,he is seeking help from from Sugreeva.Every one comes to him for protection and now he wants help from Sugreeva.Everyone wants to be considered by him and now Rama is seeking help and favorable consideration from Sugreeva.Eldest son of king Dasaradha is now desperate enough to seek protection from Sugreeva.Like this Lakshmana beseached Hanuma for Sugreevas protection.Just to minimise his brothers agony ,Lakshmana has stooped low and requested Hanumas help.

Rama PRAISES HANUMANTHA

Rama was happy .Actually he wanted to meet Sugreeva. but in the mean while,his minister had come to meet them.Rama liked the way Hanumantha spoke to them. He directed his brother to speak with Hanumantha in a nice manner. Hanumantha was just a minister to Sugreeva. So,he need not speak to him directly. That too and the fact that he cant tell his problems to Hanumantha without uneasiness. So,he directed his brother to do the needful.Rama started praising Hanumantha before Lakshgmana.Unless a person studies and understands rugveda,yajurveda,saamaveda and adharvana veda,one can not speak in such a beautiful manner.He might have read grammar many a time.His vocabulary,his pronounciation of each word were impeccable.He talked for such a long time ,and not even a single word did he utter wrongly.While talking,his face was relaxed,his eyebrows did not knot,his guestures were respectable all along.He talked beautifully.They were clear.There was no confusion in putting forth his intentions.He did not unnecessarily elongate the sentences.He was not hasty while uttering those words. He was calm and composed.Lakshmana!did you observe his voice? He was not speaking too loud. He was not talking in too low notes.His voice was clear and confident.His words were good and beautiful.You feel like hearing him again and again.He was talking in an even note,neither too high nor too low as if gossiping.If one hears him talk in this fashion,even an enemy who feels like killing would soften his attitude and make friendship.If one has him as his agent or an ambassador,things would move smoothly.

Sugreeva doubts Rama and Lakshmanas intentions

Sugreeva was roaming about ,on Rushyamooka mountains.He saw Rama and Lakshmana and was afraid of them.He could not stau calm. He called his ministers and well wishers and told them like this.Probably ,Vali might have sent these two people.They would have come in the guise of sages.His followers also got anxious and were moving from one hill top to another.Right hand man of Sugreeva,Hanumantha turned towards Sugreeva and told him .Hey King!come out of your tensions.We are staying on Rushyamooka mountains.Vali can not harm us as long as we are on these mountains.We are worrying unnecessarily. Vali replied him.Hanuma!you are telling these words just to make me relax.Did you not see those two people?Did you see their bodis? did you not see their Bows and arrows and swords?They are like deities.You are saying that Vali can not come here.But he would be having so many kings as his friends .May be these warriors are his friends.We should never relax.We should always be alert in such things.Vali is not a simpleton.He would execute things in an intelligent fashion.So,we should keep an eye on these individuals.So,Hanuma!you go to them in human form .learn everything about them and inform me.

Lakshmana lends moral support to Rama

Rama is continuing his desperate talk.If Seetha is with me,I do not want anything else.Feeling the breeze coming across Pampa lake,we can live happily.Only the most luckiest people have the chance to feel this adorable breeze.How can Seetha live without me?What reply should I give Janaka,if asks about Seetha in public?Even after I lost my kingdom,she followed me to the woods. Where would she be now?When can I hear again her sweet voice and lovable talk? She always talks to me in a smiling attitude. She would talk the things which I like most and which are in my best interest.When he was interested in having her physically,she would make him feel that she was happy even without physical desire.Because she does not his vanavaasa vratham to be diluted by mere physical desires. Lakshmana started consoling his brother again.Rama !you are the greatest.You should not be sorrowful like this.Even love should no be too intense. If so,it would burn you.Even if Ravana hides in paathaala ie underground,he can not escape from us.We will surely learn every thing about him.He either has to give Seetha or his life.Recoup yourself. Regain your confidence.Come out of your pleading and sorrowful mood.Being happy would be our strength.If we have interest,we can achieve anything in this world.Let us start searching Seetha.we are sure to find her. But all you need is little josh.Do not be frustrated. Do not pine for love life with Seetha.Kick your sorrow backwards and start action.You are a great person.you are unable to realise yourself. With these words of Lakshmana ,Rama regained himself.they left Pampa lake and started their journey.They searched all about that place but could not find Seetha.They started to find Sugreeva.

Kishkindhaa kaandamu... Rama frustrated

Rama and Lakshmana reached Pampa lake.the lake was full of flowers.It was spring season.Rama relaxed a little bit seeing that beauty.But it did not last long. He remebered Seetha and was depressed.He turned towards Lakshmana and started to speak out his mind.Lakshmana !are you seeing these flowers,this LAke and the trees?Flowers are falling to the ground from trees as if trees are raining flowers.These flowers are in many hues.After falling on the ground,the ground is looking like adorned by a beautiful multicolored diamond studded carpets.wind is whispering lovers tit bits in the ears.I am concerned about Bharatha and Seetha.But being away from Seetha in this beautiful season of spring is making me yearn for her.This is enhancing my sorrow.Manmadha is pestering me right now.It seems that koel is making fun of me by singing from the trees.I am starting to think that my life is a pure waste without Seetha. So,what if I die?With out Seetha,I do not have any purpose to live in this world.It is utterly useless.This spring season is enhancing my sorrow for Seetha. Are you seeing that peacock which is dancing before its hen? Just because no demon had snatched its partner ,it is able to be so happy and dancing with its partner.If some demon had snatched away my wife,I too would have been enjoying this spring in her presence.Lakshmana!it is very difficult live in this woods in this manner. Lakshmana!are you seeing these flowers which are wilting away and falling on the ground? may be SPRING IS IN ITS FULL SWING EVEN AT THE PLACE WHERE sEETHA IS STAYING. Even she too would be pining for me and my love there all alone.I am afraid that not withstanding my absence for such a long period,she has lost her life .She loves me very much.Our romantic life is very strong.We can not live without another even for a minute. Cool winds,which are carrying the scents of blooming flowers are touching my face. but I am feeling them hot and irritating in Seethas absence.Are you seeing this Bhramaram? It looks as if it is going fast to reach its lady love and settling on those flowers to suck nectar. Are you seeing that mango tree? She is looking great and in grand manner with all the fruits adorned allover it.Kinneras are wandering in couples in this beautiful place.See!elephants and deers are coming to this lake to drink water.Entire pond is full of lotus flowers.Seetha likes lotus flowers very much.I am disinterested to continue my life after she left me.Are you seeing the act of Manmadha? He is making me remember Seetha and love life I led with her repeatedly.What all appeared pleasant and beautiful ,when I was in her presence are makingm me painful in her absence. When I am seeing at the petals of lotus,I am remembering Seethas eyes.When cool breeze passes over me,I am remembered of her inhaling and exhalation. Lakshmana!are you seeing these different kinds of scented flowers?The way the creepers are twining over and above the trees is appearing to me like lustful women running after their lovers.That bhramaram is going and sitting on each and every flower.Flowers are falling on the ground and it is like a colorful bed waiting to be used by lovers. Those trees are appearing to be competing with each in giving more and more flowers.Those birds are making love with each other.Seeing all these things,my frustration is increasing.If Seetha is here,that is enough for me.I do not want even Indras post in heaven.I do not even want Ayodhya.

Rama and Lakshmana meet Sabari

Rama and Lakshmana saw Sabaris aasramam.It was full of beautiful trees.They saw Sabari. She was very old.She saluted them with reverence.She welcomed them with warm heart and fed them with ripe and sweet fruits.They ate them with love and affection towards her.Rama enquired her well being.He asked if her penance and her help to the great sages was going on smoothly.He asked if she was content with what she had. Sabari was happy.Her happiness knew no bounds,because it was her dream come true to see Rama and Lakshmana alive and in front of her.She said that her lifes ambition of seeing him was completed.So,she would go to heaven.She started telling Rama.Rama!Disciples of Mathanga rishi left for heaven when Rama came to Chitrakoota mountain.While leaving her,They told that Rama and Lakshmana were sure to come there to visit her.After seeing Rama, they told her, to come to heaven.From that day ,she was immersed in collecting sweet and ripe fruits for Rama.She was waiting for their arrival. Rama told her that Kabandha told them about her.If she was interested ,they wanted to see the place and enjoy their stay.Sabari was happy to show that place in detail to Rama and Lakshmana.She started telling him.Rama!My gurus,Great sages did many Yajans there.In this place,Rishis are very aged and their bodies are dried up with regular fasting. They do not even have the strength to go to the water and take bath.So,with their powerful intention only,they made all the sapthasamudras to come to their abode and were taking bath there itself.To pray god,they used to bring lose flowers and some garlands. But they never wilt and dry up. It is all the power of their penance. Sabari requested his permission to end her life and go to heaven where her gurus went.Rama was happy togive her permission to go to heaven. Rama and Lakshmana wrer happy to see that aasramam. they bathed in sapthasamudras.They performed last rites to their departed elders.They were happy that all their troubles were coming to an end.They were confident that good times were about to come soon.They were relaxed. They had no tension. They wanted to meet Sugreeva as early as possible.They went to Pampa lake.It was so pleasant just to look at it.

Valis residence

Kabandha continued telling Rama and Lakshmana about that place.If you go west wards from Pampa lake,you will come across an aasramam,abode of rishis.That aasramam is in a secret place.There are many elephants in that forest.But due to Mathanga munis effect,they wont come there.The forest there is very beautiful. It is awe inspiring like nandanavanam and other celestial woods.You will forget all your troubles and problems as soon as you enter that place. Rushya mooka parvatham is in front of Pampa lake.If a person sleeps on this mountains and dreams that he acquired riches,then even in reality ,he would definitely procure the riches.But if a sinner and a bad person climb it,they are sure to lose their lives. Rama!there is a cave in that mountain.Its entrance is closed by a huge rock.There is a pond towards its eastern side.Water of that pond would be cool and tasty.Around that pond,Flowering creepers,trees and fruit bearing trees are there and it is an adorable place.But it is not easy to go there.Sugreeva lives there with four of his ministers.He would be roaming all around the place.You go fast and make friendship with him. You would definitely succeed in your accomplishment. Saying these helpful words,Kabandha left for heaven. As suggested by Kabandha,Rama and Lakshmana walked west wards to reach Pampa lake.That night,they slept on the mountain and reached western banks of Pampa lake,the next day.

Speciality of Rushya mooka parvatham

Kabandha continued telling Rama about Vali.Sugreeva is Suns son.Enmity had developed between Sugreeva and his brother,Vali.Sugreeva lives on Rushyamooka parvatham,which is besides Pampa lake.You go to him. Take oath on your arms and weapons that you would make friendship with him.That is very important. Sugreeva knows all the places around,where demons live. There is no place remaining which he does not know.He would search all over and find Seetha.He would send his army of monkeys to search Seetha.He is sure to find Seetha in Ravanas abode.Even if Seetha is in underground or high above Meru mountain,Sugreeva is sure to find her,kill all the demons and bring her back safely. Rama!areb you seeing the cluster of trees westwards?You travel that way.In that forest,trees bloom and fructify all through the year.If you cross those trees and travel among the woods,hills and trees ,you would find Pampa lake.In that LAKE,Pampa,there are many species and varieties of fish.Waters are so clean,pure and clear.If you walk through those blooming trees in the venings,you are sure to forget all your problems and relax. Rama!flowers in those trees never wilt.They donot fall to the ground.There are disaciples of great sage,Mathanga.When they take necessary things to their Guru,sweat which drops from their bodies has become flowers by the power of their penance.So,they never wilt and dry up.But during period of time,all his disciples have passed away.But their servant maid,Sabari,is still living there.She is waiting to see you.After seeing you to her hearts content, she would go to heaven.

Kabandha tells about Sugreeva

Rama tells Kabandha his story.Kabandha!We know ,just the name of the demon who captured my wife,Seetha,as Ravana.We know nothing else about him.We are in tension.Please help us.We would cremate you preperly.But,please tel us about Seethas where abouts. Kabandha replied in negative. Rama!I do not have any celestial powers.So,I do not know any thing about Seetha.After my cremation,I will regain those extra powers.Then,I may help you in all the possible manner.Please do my last rites before sunset.I would direct you to a good friend,who can be immense help to you.He traveled the entire world.There is nothing he does not know. Rama and Lakshmana performed last rites to Kabandhas dead body.Kabandha regained his earlier celestial form and an airplane came to take him to heaven.Kabandha stood above the ground in space and told Rama.Rama!I would tell you a secret by which you can find Seetha.A person ,who has problems can identify one who needs help.If such two people become friends,then both their difficulties would come to an end.Now,You are in difficulties. There is a vanara ie monkey.He has an elder brother, named Vali.Being shunted by his Vali,Sugreeva lives in Rushyamooka parvatham, along with his ministers.Sugreeva is a righteous man.He has all the good qualities.He is a great warrior.He would definitely help you in finding Seetha.Rama!do not repent.You meet Sugreeva at the earliest.Make friendship with him,keeping Agni,the fire as saakshi ie witness.If you do like that both the parties would be loyal and rightful towards their friendship. Sugreeva is not a common man.Do not under estimate him,thinking that he is a mere monkey.He is the king of Vanaras. He is kamaroopi.He is grateful to those who help him.He has gratitude also.He will also request you for help.

Kabandha reveals his story

Kabandha remembered his earlier life.He also remembered what Indra had told him.He was happy that his curse was lifted off him. He started telling Rama his story. Oh Great men!I welcome you!I happen to see you purely because of my luck.Because of my earlier good deeds only,you cut off my shoulders.I will tell you the story ,how I got this grotesque body.Previously I had celestial body.My nature of making fun of others brought this curse to me.I used to frighten sages with this grotesque figure.One day I went to frighten a sage named Sdhoolasirudu.He got angry and cursed me that I retain and detain the same figure.I pleaded with him,when my curse would be lifted?Hr replied that when ever Rama comes and cuts off your shoulders and burn your body to ashes,then only your curse would be cancelled. Rama!I am from Danuvu dynasty.My fathers name is Sree.I have another curse given by Indra.I did great penance and obtained a boon FROM BRAHMA that I have long life. I was proud that I had this boon. So,I thought even Indra can do me no harm. So,I went to war against him.He used his Vajraayudham to attack me. With its effect,my head,mu thighs shrunk into my entire body .I felt averse to live with such a body and requested Indra to kill me.Then ,Indra told that since Brahma gave me boon of long life,I could not be killed.So,he had to live like that only.I pleaded him that how I could live without even a mouth.How can I take food,I lamented.Then Indra gave me long shouldres and hands and created this big mouth with canine teeth. I came to this forest.I attract wild animals like lions,elephants,tigers,and other animals and eat them.From that I am waiting for your arrival.So,you are that Rama for whom I was waiting all along.May good happen to you.No one can kill me,except you.Please do last rites to me after putting me to fire and cremation.I would show a good friend .

Rama and Lakshmana captured by Kabandha

Suddenly ,they heard a huge sound.They saw from where it was coming. they saw a demon near a bush.He was Kabandha.His mouth was in his stomach.He had neither head nor neck.He had one eye on his chest.He had hands,one mile long.He was grotesque to look at.He was eating wild animals of the forest,like lions,elephants,and bears.He stopped Rama and Lakshmana with his long and powerful hands.Rama did not lose confidence,but Lakshmana was afraid.Lakshmana told his brother.Rama!you leave me to this mountain of a demon.You go and search Seetha.You will secure Seetha definitely.When you go back to Ayodhya and rule the kingdom,remember about me.Rama told Lakshmana not to worry.He gave him confidence not to be afraid.A warrior should never feel let down. Kabandha addressed them. Who are you? you are wearing Bow and arrows and holding a sword.Why did you come here. May be to be eaten by me.You have come near mouth.You can not return alive from me.Rama was aghast hearing these words.He turned towards Lakshmana and talked to him.Lakshmana!I am dying without finding Seetha.Difficulties are fast approaching me one after another.Aah!time is very influential.Nothing is impossible for it.All our attempts are merely house of play cards.Whether one is valiant or a great soul,he should abide by the rules of time. Kabandha was shouting at them. I am hungry.What are you doing there?Come near me,so that I can get hold of you and eat.Lakshmana told Rama that they should cut the demons hands to escape from him.Kabandha tried to catch hold of them and eat them by opening his large mouth.But,Rama cut his right hand and Lakshmana ,the left hand.Kabandha became desperate and asked them,who they were. Lakshmana replied him. He is Rama. He is from Ikshvaaku dynasty.I am his younger brother.My name is Lakshmana.One demon has snatched away ,my brothers wife.We are searching her.Who are you?wWhy are you in this shape and figure? As soon as Lakshmana questioned him,Kabandha remembered his earlier life.

Lakshmana meets Ayomukhi

Rama and Lakshmana crossed Dandakaaranya .searching Seetha all the way.They came to krounchaaranyam forest on their way.Then ,turning east wards,they walked for some more distance and came nearer to Mathangaasramam.It was a dense forest.One fears to walk through it.There ,they came across a cave. It was very dark inside.Near that cave,a grotesque demon was sitting. To look at her was in itself fear rising.Lakshmana was walking in the front. Suddenly,she saw Lakshmana and hugged him.She started blabbering to Lakshmana.Nadha!My name is Ayomukhi. I like you.We would stay here and lead a happy and enjoyable life roaming in the woods and near by lakes. But one knows what Lakshmana does to Demons. He took his sword and cut her nose and ears.She ran away crying with pain . Again Rama and Lakshmana started walking in the woods.Lakshmana turned towards Rama and told him.Rama!my left shoulder is shivering. I am concerned.I am seeing bad omens all around. I feel that war is going to happen in no time.Be prepared for war. take your bow and arrows and be alert.Cries of Vanchulaka pakshi is boding victory for us.

Rama performs last rites to Jataayuvu

Rama told Lakshmana with sorrow.Lakshmana!see!this king of Eagles tried to help me but lost his life in the process.He left his kingdom and lost his life for my cause.Sages and righteous people valiant people are found even in wild animals and birds to me.Jataayuvu dedicated his life to me.The sorrow I am feeling for the loss of Jataayuvu is more than I am feeling for the loss of Seetha.Jataayuvu is to be respected like father by us. Lakshmana!bring wood and prepare for the last rites of Jataayuvu.We would create fire by friction and we would burn his dead body to ashes.He ,the,turned towards the dead body of Jataayuvu and told these words. Jataayuvu!I give you permission. Your last rites would be fulfilled by me.You would go to heaven which could be achieved by great ahithaagnulu,great sages,and to those who donate land to the poor. Saying this,Rama performed Last rites properly and with devotion. He crumbled with desperation.He brought an animal and killed it. He performed pinda pradaanam .He recited Vedamanthras and sent Jataayuvu to heaven.Then,Rama and Lakshmana went to river,Godavari and bathed there and performed jala tharpanam to Jataayuvu. Jataayuvu was a great soul,who fought and lost his life in war. He earned accolades by his superior act.He was lucky to have his last rites performed by Rama and went to Heaven.
