Bharathas journey

Bharatha started his journey early in the morning. Ministers and Brahmins were travelling in the front.9000 elephants,6000 chariots with yodhas,one lakh soldiers on horses were accompanying.Along with Kousalya and Sumithra ,even Kaikeyi was happy about the decision of Bharatha to bring Rama back.Everyone alighted their appropriate chariots. It seems Kaikeyi was the first one to lead Kousalya and Sumithra. So it seems that her craze for kingdom has receded and realisation has come. But all the damage had been done in he meanwhile.Dasaradha lost his life.Everyone was happy and talking about Rama and were enthusiastic about seeing Rama shortly.They were discussing that Rama would demolish unhappiness and seeing him itself , ones unhappiness perishes.

Other communities also followed them. Among them were diamond polishers,potters,weavers,weapon makers,those who make fans with peacock feathers,carpenters,decorators,those whompierce diamonds,those craft elephant tusks,white washers,business people of spices and condiments,goldsmiths,body massagers,doctors,those who make scented sticks or dhupam,brewers,those washermen,tailors,actors,dancers and dance masters,cleaners,and other communities.Brahmins went on bullock carts in thousands.THey reached the banks of Ganges like this.Bharatha decided that they would cross Ganges the next day.He did thilodakaalu to his father at Ganges.All of them took rest nearby. Bharatha was thinking over how to talk with Rama and convince him.Talking with Rama is not an easy task and it was such a delicate situation.

Raaja sabha

Vasishta entered conference hall. He sentfor the people.He had called for Bharatha ,Sathrughna and important citizens.Bharatha arrived and all of them gave great welcome to him.

Vasishta got up and told Bharatha that Dasaradha transferred fertile country to Bharatha to succeed.He was no more,. As per his INSTRUCTIONS ,Rama and Lakshmana left for woods.All of them gifted this kingdom to Bharatha and he had to accept it.

Bharatha wept reminding Rama in the hall.He was unhappy with Vaasishta also for saying these words.He stood upand told so. This country belongs to Rama.No rightful person would steal Rama skingdom. Can any son of Dasaradha steal others kingdom?Entire kingdom belongs to Rama and even Bharatha was Ramas property.SO EVERYONE SHOULD THINK IN RIGHT MANNER.If he did this grotesque act entire Ikshwaaku clan would get bad name.He would not bow to his mothers cunningness and cruelty. He would always respect Rama whereever he is.He is a follower of RAMA .Rama is capable of ruling all three lokas.All the viewers were happy hearing Bharathas words.

Bharatha continued thus. If he was incapable of making Rama come to Ayodhya , he would live in woods along with lAKSHMANA.But he would try his level best to convince Rama and he is taking oath regarding that before all the people of Ayodhya,.He is asking people to make the path to Rama and directed Sumanthra to make all the preparations for thejourney.For the betterment of everyone Rama should be brought back.

Hearing about the journey everyone was happy.Soldiers wives were hastening their husbands to get ready for the journey. Even civilians were gatting ready to accompany Bharatha into the woods to bring back Rama.

Raajakarthaarulu come to Bharatha

On fourteenth day, raajakartharulu came to Bharatha and requested him to alite the throne.Dasaradha was no more. Rama and Lakshmana went into the woods.Kingdom is requesting bHARATHA TO ACCEPT THE THRONE.Everything was ready for the actual process, only Bharatha had to agree.Bharatha rounded the abhisheka products with reverence and told them so. It was not right for them to ask him to become king when Rama was the eldest son. He would take all these things into the forest and conduct Raajya pattabhishekam To Rama in the woods and send him to Ayodhya. In his place ,Bharatha would live in the woods for fourteen years.Raaja karthaarulu praised Bharatha for his broad mindedness and started preparations to go into the woods to bring back Rama.Everyone involved in the procedings and in making preparations to enable to go to the woods till the banks of GANGES.They paved the way. made wells and tanks and rest houses here and there.They planted trees where there were none to make it pleasant for Ramas arrival.

Early morning Vandimagadhulu woke up Bharatha with glorifying songs.They made pleasant sounds with conches and instruments.Bharatha told them to stop as he was not the king.He was telling Sathrughna what catastrophe Kaikeyi had brought to the country.Kingdom was like a boat without a sarang.

last rites to dasaradha

Night was over. Vasishta came and took Bharatha along with him the next day.He reminded that last rites should be done to the dead body of Dasaradha.Body had been preserved in oil and it was now taken out. The body looked as if the king was sleeping.Bharatha and Sathrughna wept again. Vasishta consoled them.Ruthviks and purohiths had come to perform the last rites,.Body was transferred in to a pallaki and carried away. Along the path gold and silver, silk clothes were distributed.It was burnt and Kousalya,,Sumithra and kaikeyi also came there. Bharatha lit fire to thre body.Kousalya rounded in reverse direction near the body. Then they later went to Sarayu river and bathed.They observed asoucham for ten days. ON eleventh day,and twelfth day ,they observed remaining rites.They donated freely to the brahmins and servants.On the thirteenth day Bharatha and Sathrughna went to the place of cremation for asthisanchayanam.

Bharatha again wept that he could not live in aplace where neither his father nor his elder brother were there.He would not enter into Ayodhya. He would go for penance.Vasishta consoled bharatha and reminded him of the remaining duties. Sumanthra consoled Sathrughna.

Bharatha was ready to goto Raama.Sathrughna abused Lakshmana what he was doing during that time? H ecould have easily stopped Rama from goin to the woods.

In the meanwhile Mandhara came adorned in gold and looked like a monkey tied by ropes.Gate keepers held her and brought her before Sathrughna and told that she was the root cause of entire calamity.Sathrughna caught hold of her to punish her. She started crying. Mandharas aides thought of seeking Kousalyas help to relieve Mnadhara,.Sathrughna dragged her on the ground and all her ornaments fell down.Kaikeyi came to save Mandhara. Bharatha scolded her.Kaikyi prayed him. bHARATHA ASKED sATHRUGHNAA TO GET CONTROL OVER HIS AANGER. nO ONE HARMED a WOMAN. That was the reason he did not kill his mother.If he did that, Rama would never forgive a person who killed his own mother.If Sathrughna killed Mandhara now, Rama would never talk to them in future. Sathrughna relieved Mandhara.Mandhgara went to Kaikeyi and wept. Kaikeyi consoled her.

bHARATHA TAKES OATH

bHARATHA GOT BDEPRESSED BY kOUSALYAS WORDS.He prays her with folded hands and explains thus. He was not aware of these developments.He adores and respects Rama very much.If he had encouraged these developments he would acquire all the crimes.He would forget what all he learnt from teachers.HE would get punishment that is due if a person does not pay for the services of a servant.HE would get the punishment that is due for Rajadrohi.If a king does not properly utilise the taxes for the benifit of the public, he would incur the punishment. BHaratha would get that punishment.If one does yagnaas and does not gift to BRAHMINS, THAT CRIME ALSO HE WOULD GET PUNISHMENT. fOR THIS also bharatha was ready.Aperson gets punished if he runs away from war. Bharatha was ready to suffer that punishment. He would forego the pious observation of return of to Ayoidhya and his enthronement ,if he really had any bad intentions.

He would suffer what a person suffers if he does not share good food with DEVATHAS OR GUESTS.H e would acquire that punishment which is due if one does wrong to a teacher or a friend.He would suffer the pangs of such a person who would reveal the secrets of his closest friend told in secrecy believing him.He would suffer the punishment that is due if a person does not give food to wife, children and servants but eats all by himself. He would not have children.He would become insane and roam about aimlesslyalong the globe.He would beg. He would lose his propriety and righteousness.All his earnings would be lost to a thief.

He would recieve punishment which is due for aperson who puts flames to houses,,mithradrohi and gurudrohi.He is apt to bepunishment as if he ahd not looked after his parents.

He would acquire a big family,become poor and suffer fromill health.He would always be unhappy.He would become a criminal and being afraid of punishment from king , live life abominably.

Kousalya pacifies bharatha and tells him that he should live like Lakshmana in a right path.

Bharatha meets kousalya

Bharatha faints and ministers wake him up and console him.He wailed that he did not wish kingdom.He did not counsel with his mother in this way. He did not know about Rama s enthronement.He was away with Sathrughna in another kingdom.He did not even know how Rama had to go to the woods.

Kousalya recognised Bharathas wailings and told Sumithra that she wanted to meet him. She started to go toi himbut in the mean time Bharatha himself approached her. He hugged her and wept.Kousalya told him that his mother secured kingdom for him but sent Rama to the woods.SHe could not understand what benifit Kaikeyi achieved by this act.In no time Kaikeyi would send Kousalya alos to the forest. There was no need for it because they themselves were ready go to woods immediately.Take this kingdom and send us to RAMAS PLACE.

Bharatha lashes out at Kaikeyi

Bharatha was questioning her. Did she ever their family rules to be followed?Eldest son has to be crowned. Even in her maternal home that was the procedure.He would not fulfil her wish.He wpuld go to the forest and bring back Sree Rama.He would be his servant.

sHE SHOULD WEEP ON HIS DEATH.H ell is the right place for her deeds.He had to face the humiliation for her acts.She is his greatest enemy.She killed her husband. No one should see her face.She was not the daughter of the great KIngKesayaraju.She was born to destroy her family.She brought so much loss to pious Kousalya.

No one is greater than son to a mother. Kamadhenuvu who has more than crores of offspring wept when two of its offspring were in suffering.The how can Kousalya survive this loss when she has only one son!!

Bharatha would bring back his glory by bringing back Rama.Bharatha would lead the life of a sage in forests in the place of Rama.Let Kaikeyi fall in fire or go to Dandakaaranya forest.Let her commit suicide.He would enthrone Rama and thus clear off his sins.Saying so Bharatha fainted.
