Raavana attacks Vibheeshana and Lakshmana

Lakshmana got angry and released seven arrows which broke Raavanaas flag post.Raavanaas flag has the emblem of mans head.Lakshmana killed his charioteer with a single arrow.Releasing five arrows he broke Raavanaas bow.In the mean time,Vibheeshaa killed chariot horses with his mace. Raavana got very angry with his brother.He got down from the chariot and released powerful Sakthi towards Vibheeshana.Before it touched Vibheeshana,Lakshmana released three arrows and nullified the Sakthi.Seeing Sakthi crumbling into pieces,Raavana released Mahaasakthi to kill Vibheeshana.Seeing this,Lakshmana stood before Vibheeshana and rained arrows at Raavana.seeing Vibheeshana protected by Lakshmana,Raavana told Lakshmana.Lakshmana!you saved Vibheeshana from my Mahaasakthi.So,I would release this Mahaasakthi against you only.It will kill you definitely. Saying so,Raavana released Mahaasakthi,which was made by Mayuduusing all his magical powers,towards Lakshmana.After releasing Mahaasakthi he roared like a lion.Sree raama saw it and blessed Lakshmana that everything good would happen to his brother.He addressed the Mahaasakthi.Mahaasakthi!your attempt to kill my brother would be futile.You would fail in your mission.Mahaasakthi went through Lakshmanaas heart and he fell down.Sree Raama wept for his brother.But sensing that it was not the right time to lament or repent,he fought with Raavana,observing his brother all along.It was a severe fight.Lakshmanaas body was oozing blood.HE FELL LIKE A HUGE MOUNTAIN BOUND BY A SERPANT.vaanaraas tried to take away that Sakthi but it was impossible for them to accomplish.Sree Raama broke that Mahaasakthi into two pieces with his hands. While Raama was attending to his brother,Raavana released another set of arrows.Raama did not mind them,but hugged his brother.He told Sugreeva and Hanumantha.Be alert and protect Lakshmana all the time.Hey vaanara warriors!time has come for me to show my valour.I have been waiting for this moment since long time.I will kill this sinner and come.See!I am taking oath before you.Either me or Raavana would be on this earth.I will definitely kill Raavana.I have been sorrowful because of losing my kingdom,living in the forest like sage,roaming in Dandakaaranyam,my Seetha being touched by another male and interacting with demons.I will leave my entire sorrow and acquire anger and kill Raavana.Raavana is before my eyes and he can never escape from me.Be cool headed and see our fight.Now,deities and sages would see this war.People will talk about this war till eternity.Raama got so angry because he saw Lakshmana in pain and pathetic condition.Sying so,he started releasing arrows at Raavana.

Raama and Raavana fight

Raavana entered war field.He is addressing his charioteer.Our demons are all killed.I will kill Raama and Lakshmana and make them happy.I will destroy the tree named Raama,which has Sugreevudu,Jaambavanthudu,Kumududu,Naludu,Maindudu,Dvividudu,Angadudu,Gandhamaadanudu,Hanumanthudu,Sushenudu and others as branches and flower ,Seetha. Raavana released Thaamasaasthram,first.Vaanaraas got burnt and fell in heaps.Raama got ready to war and made sounds with the string of his bow.But Lakshmana was near by and he felt like fighting with Raavana.So,he released arrows on to Raavana.Raavana warded off all those arrows.Raavana crossed Lakshmana and went to Raama and released arrows on him.Raama also rained arrows on Raavana.So many arrows were released by both of them that sky looked as if it had been fixed by many windows.Darkness engulfed the area with the arrows released by Raavana.Both are great warriors.Raavana planted many arrows on Raamaas forehead.But Raama was not pained by them.He got angry and released Roudraasthram.It touched unbreakable armour of Raavana but did not harm him.Raavana released Asuraasthram.Due to its effect,many arrows with the faces of lions,tigers,five headed serpants and many wild animals came.Then Raama released Aagneyaasthram.From it,many arrows with the faces of fire,sun,moon,planets and stars came andthey appeared like lightning and nullified the arrows released by Asuraasthram.Raavana ,then,released Roudraasthram,which was given to him by Mayudu.Raama nullified its effect by Gaandharvaasthram.Raavana released Souraasthram.From it many magnificient wheels came.Raama released celestial arrows and cancelled them.Seeing that his powerful arrows had no effect on Raama,Raavana released ten arrows which pained Raama.But Raama did not deter and rained arrows on Raavana.

Mahodarudu and Mahaapaarsvudu killed

Raavana came out through northern entrance and entered battle field.His left eye trembled.His face necame pale.His voice was in low key.Raavana did not care for these bad omens but proceded.Vaanaraas were also ready to fight.Fierce fight ensued.Many vaanaraas died due to Raavanaas arrows.Sugreeva observed this and fought back.He killed many demons.Viroopaakshidu ataacked Sugreeva.They fought a firce duel.Viroopaaksha broke Sugreevaas armour.Sugreeva hit his chest with his flattened palm and blood oozed from all openings in his body,navarandhramulu.He died.Many warriors died on both the sides.Armies on both sides became weak.Raavana felt tension.He instigated Mahodarudu and Mahaapaarsvudu to fight on his behalf.He told them to fight to the best of their ability.They had benefitted from him in the past.Time has come for them to show their gratitude for his help. Mahodarudu killed many vaanaraas and showed his mettle.Sugreeva observed this and attacked him.Sugreeva took a spear and Mahodarudu took a mace and fought.Bothe the weapons broke.They took swords and fought.During that fight,Sugreeva beheaded Mahodarudu.Demons were afraid and ran away.Vaanaraas were happy and praised Sugreeva. Mahaapaarsvudu fought relentlessly and killed many vaanaraas.Angada could not withstand that onslaught and attacked him.Angada took a spear and threw it and it broke the bow of Mahaapaarsvudu.Angada hit his chest with his fist.With that,Mahaapaarsvudu died.

Demon women lament the loss of their kith and kin

Women in Lanka learnt about the death of their men in war in huge numbers.They realised that they lost their husbands,fathers,sons,brothers and relatives in this ghastly war.They lamented in groups consoling each other.They talked like this.Soorpanakha is ugly.But she lusted for Handsome Raama and brought this calamity on us.Because of Soorpanakha only,Raavana indulged in rivalry with Raama.In the end,Raavana failed to turn Seetha towards him.He failed miserably.He brought Seetha just for his death only.Will there be any such fool in this world who makes Raama his enemy?Does he not know The effect of Raama?Does he not know the plight of Viraadha,who kidnapped Seetha earlier? Raama killed fourteen thousand demons in Janasdhaanam,along with Kharudu,Dooshanudu and Thrisirudu.He killed Kabandhudu,who had huge shoulders.He killed a great warrior like Vaali and made Sugreeva the king of Kishkindha.Are all these not examples of his valour?Raavana is a great fool!Vibheeshana pleaded him many a time not to continue enmity with Raama.But he leant a deaf ear to Vibheeshanaas pleas.If he had taken good advice of righteousman,Vibheeshana,Lanka would not have become a burial ground now.Even when Kumbhakarna,Athikaayudu,Indrajith and many other warriors died,Raavana could not think properly.In Lanka ,in every house,you can hear wailings that their son has died,their father has died or their brother has died. Women continued weeping.All our men died in the war.We have no one to look up to.What is the use of our living when once we become destitutes?Raavana is brainless person.Even he too would die soon.He did not ask for a boon to protect him from death in the hands of man.To kill Raavana only,Deities might have sent Seetha to Lanka.Because of his wrong doings only,we are put to so much trouble today.Can any one the person whom Raama determines to kill?Vibheeshana went to Raama and saved his life. Lanka reverberated with these wailings.It could be heard even in the palace.Raavana felt very much.He became angry and grit his teeth again.He told the demons around him.Tell the armies that it is my order.Tell them to go to the warfield and fight.I would come and destroy Raama,Lakshmana and vaanara army.Get ready my chariot.Collect all the demons who are still alive to the army.Army was collected.Raavana aloghted his chariot and went to the warfield along with Mahaapaarsvudu,Mahodarudu and Viroopaakshudu.

Raavana sends his army to the war

Raavana sent his own army to the field.Great fight ensued between vaanaraas and demons.Demons killed vaanaraas in large numbers.Remaining vaanaraas ran to Raama for protection.Raavana took his bow and entered the war field.Demons started falling down in large numbers.Chariots were breaking down.Demons were afraid and running away.Sree Raama was not to be seen by any pf them.It was as if gusty winds were blowing through the forest and destroying all the trees.Raamaas acts were only seen but not his frame of body.Sree Raama released Gaandharvaasthram.All demons fell down due to its effect.Wherever they turned demons were seeing Raama and they were seeing thousands of Raama,but not actual person.Raama is turning his bow in circles and releasing arrows in all the directions.Demons were being hit by his arrows but they could not see him.Raama broke seven crores twenty nine chariots.He killed thirteen crores twelve lakhs and twenty thousand elephants,ten crores twenty lakhs sixty thousand horses with their masters,one hundred and forty five crores eighty lakhs cavalry.He completed all this devastation in just one and half an hour just with his arrows.Battlefield looked like the play ground of God Rudra.Raavanaas entire personal army vanquished.Deities and sages were very very happy.They praised Raama.Raama turned towards Sugreeva,Vibheeshana,Hanumantha and other vaanara warriors and told them that this celestial weaponry is present only with God Shiva and himself.

Raavana goes to Seetha

Raavanaas aides went to Raavana and told him.Hey lord!Indrajith fought a magnificientbattle with Lakshmana.But with Vibheeshanaas help,Lakshmana could kill Indrajith.Raavana fainted hearing this news.He started crying after getting up for a long time.He lamented his sons death.Hey son!You defeated even Indra.Was your efficency not enough to kill Lakshmana?Just because you are with Yama now,Yama is dear to me also.You died like a true warrior and went to heaven.Now,deities,sages and other celestial groups would have a happy sleep without any fear from us,dmons.Without Indrajith,entire universe is appearing blank and meaningless to me. Hey Indrajith!did you leave your princehood,Lanka,demons,your mother,me,your wife and every one else and go away?You had to do last rites to me but now I am forced to do your last rites.You are making m do them to you.Even now,Sugreeva Raama and Lakshmana are still alive.You had gone away without clearing my pain and my problem. From his sorrow was born anger.he grit his teeth and made such noise like machines make when they are turned on.He turned to his aides and told them.I did a great penance and obtained many boons from Brahma.Brahma gave me unbreakable armour,bow and arrows.No one can stand before me in battle.I would go and kill Raama and Lakshmana.I would behead Seetha,who is the root cause of this entire calamity.My son killed illusionary Seetha.I would kill real Seetha.Saying so,Raavana took his sword and went to Seetha.Many tried to curtail him but he proceded to where Seetha was sitting. Seetha began to weep seeing Raavana.Though I have a husband,this demon is killing me as if I were a destitute.Would he have killed even Raama and Lakshmana?That would never happen.He is unable to kill my husband and his brother.He is lamenting the loss of his son.So,he has come to take revenge on me.If I had gone with Hanumantha that day,when he told me to sit on his back and he would take me to Raama,this day would not have come to me. In the mean time,Mahaapaarsvudu,Raavanaas minister stopped him.Hey lord!you are not supposed to indulge in such an act.You are a great scholar.You learnt all the fields of efucation.All along you have been doing good things.Can a great man like you kill a woman?Safe guard her and her beauty.Show your anger on Raama.If you kill him,Seetha would automatically be yours.Go to the war.Today is Chathurdasi.Tomorrow is Amaavaasya.Make all the arrangements today and start to the war field tomorrow and fight.You will win dfinitely. Raavana heeded his ministers words and returned to his assembly to make war arrangements.He was sad,pathetic and shrivelled. He saluted his army chieves and told them.one,who made the entire universe tremble with fear,now is saluting his army chieves.hey army chiefs!take your armies along with you to war field and attack Raama.Even if you can not kill him,injure him and make him suffer his wounds.I would come tomorrow and will easily kill Raama ,who is already in pain and not full fledged because of wounds inflicted by you.

Lakshmana kills Indrajith

Lakshmana released Vaarunaasthram.Indrajith released Roudraasthram and nullifed its effect.Indrajith released Aagneyaasthram and Lakshmana nullified it by Souraasthram.Indrajith released Aasuraasthram.Lakshmana warded it by releasing Maaheswaraasthram.To view this magnificient battle,Deities,sages,Garudulu,Uragulu and many others came along with Devendra.They all protected Lakshmana from suffering with pain.Lakshmana took an arrow and chanted Aindraasthra manthram and created a magnificient celestial arrow.Lakshmana addressed that arrow.Hey arrow!if Dasaradhaas son,Raama,is roghteousman,truthful person,great warrior who can not be defeated by anyone,go and kill Indrajith.Saying so Lakshmana released the arrow.That arrow went cut off Indrajiths head.His head rolled on to the ground.Indrajith died.Vaanaraas and Vibheeshana were merry with happiness.Sages,Deities,Gandharvas and all others were happy.They rained flowers on Lakshmana.Vaanaraas shouted Lakshmano jayathi!hail Lakshmana!This war took place for three entire nights and days.Lakshmana was happy to kill a warrior who defeated even Indra. Lakshmanas body was filled with blood.Lakshmana went along with Hanumantha,Vibheeshana and other vaanara warriors to Raama.He circumscribed Raama,saluted him and simply said,Indrajith is dead.Vibheeshana said,Indrajiths head rolled down to earth by great Lakshmana. Sree Raama made Lakshmana sit on his thigh and hugged his brother and was looking at him with love and affection again and again.Lakshmana was shy before his brother. Raama told his brother.Naayanaa!you did a wonderful task by killing Indrajith.You brought me happiness.If Indrajith dies,it is as if Raavana himself died.It is as if we have already won the war.In this war,Vibheeshana,Hanumantha and many other vaanara warriors fought for three ahoraathrulu ie three full days and nights.Hey brother!you killed Indrajith.From now onwards,it would be a cake for me to acquireeither Seetha or this whole earth. Raama then called Sushenudu and told him.Sushena!Lakshmanaas body is filled with many arrows.You take off those arrows and treat him.You treat all those whose bodies are implanted with arrows and make them hale and healthy.Sushena brought one medicinal herb and made Lakshmana inhale it.Lakshmana immediately became strong and all his wounds and injuries disappeared.Sushena treated other warriors also and every one revived to normalcy.
